I've read all the posts about recommending a good webhost and I guess this is redundant but here's my story: After years making a nice living on an e-commerce site I got the bug to do a MS layout site to see if I could make a few bucks. What I didn't expect or even think about was the bandwidth issues so I went with my current host. Shared server, they charge me about 10 bucks a month for 25 gig of bandwidth and a gig of storage.

Well I am not even doing anything to promote my new site and i'm getting way too much traffic for this.

So I'm seeing recommendations here about hosting solutions for like 5 and 10 bucks a month with 200 gigs of space and 2000 gigs of transfer???

Can someone please enlighten me on who I should go with? For illustration, the sites been up for 3 weeks, so far this month I have about 3500 uniques and have used about 18 gigs. I haven't really gotten started yet so I assume it'll go up.

Suggestions?

Hey,

Firstly I am using 4 gig of bandwith per day with more unique visitors per day than you have said above, so maybe you should look into bandwith saving tips also.

Secondly, for 4.95 a month I get 900GB of bandwith. Good service, good host.

I am with www.siteground.com :)

Good luck,
Dean

the host is actually okay, never any issues and my other sites don't use much bandwidth.
i got a pro account at photobucket but for some reason the layout turnkey i'm using doesn't seem to want to let me hotlink from anywhere else.
