Whats the lamest job you've ever had? How old were u? what do u do now?

Lets see I worked at a PeterPiperPizza for a few years and then Subway which is really lame. I remember at the Pizza place my manager always yelled at me when I would draw out design ideas at work. "Youll never get anywhere unless you focus on your job" Dang I could have been the manager there pullin in the big bucks! lol

I've only had like 2 jobs lol..

One was in a call centre selling windows :death:.. that was when i was 16, i worked there for a few days then left.. it was all lesbians, turns out the manager only gave me the job coz she fancied me . The girls kept like tryna touch me and stuff.. freaked me out just a bit haha.

The second was not so long ago, my mate got me the job. It was an italian pizza place (takeaway). I worked there for 3/4 days (two weekends) and quit. Just my luck one of the drivers was a sex offender who took a liking to me, got my phone number and found out where i lived then continued to stalk me :\.. he was fifty-something and apparantly i asked for it :S.

Now i just do nothing :).. job's suck :(

McDonalds was the worst job I ever had. I worked there a whole 2 weeks.
I work completly from home now. Ive only had 2 other jobs and I liked them both. They were working at Arbys when I was 16 and a receptionist for an insurance company in Dallas.

I've only had one job because I dropped out of school at 15, and that was sitting in a freezing cold, dusty factory, stuffing envelopes and putting stupid leaflets in magazines (the ones that people throw straight in the bin). Oh and then I occasionly got the job of standing for ages putting books in a machine at a fast rate.
I'm at college now, so I don't have time to work!

I've never had a job, but 'm DYING to get a job at nielsen media research at the call center. My dad works for nielsen (not the call center, obviously..) so I have an automatic in and they super well 9.50/hour

But my mother won't let me get a job, yet she expects me to pay for my own gas..

lol, I applied for a job as a manager at Mc Donalds.... their "interview" consisted of checking out the way I mop the floors and how I made the hamburgers.

WTF? If I wanted to mop floors I would of applied for a janitor position.

Mine was mopping floors at a SuperMarket when I was 15.

I have moved up quite a bit since those days....LOL

I have the worst job ever, i actually shovel sh*t.
My day job involves working in confined spaces which unfortunatly means most of my time is spent underground in sewers and such like. I also work in reactors and silos and anywhere else where access is restricted and dangerous.
I'm trained up to safety officer level but due to a colourful past i don't have much confidence these days.:-(

My lamest job ever is my first job and my current job. I work at subway. Its literally the worst job ever. I want to punch customers, coworkers, and my boss. Its always busy when I work, the only time we can sit down is when there are no customers and we have to sit on crates :( Oh and lets not mention that i only get paid 6.50 an hour. And people wonder why I only work 1 day a week. I work there because my mom makes me, and then the rest of the time I do online work, which makes me triple what I make at work.

Well, for that same job you would get paid 6.50 per day over here, so it is not that bad after all

I havn't really had much work experience,

Just done little jobs for people eg: when I was 15 my mates dad does advertising pamphlets drops, I have done a few of these for him, its pretty lame but you get to walk around and get paid but once you get to massive unit blocks you can make money very very quickly you get paid like $50 per 1000 houses or units, I was working in mainly unit areas which are like 200+ in one thing so you can make the money very quickly, but if you do houses it totally sucks.

Another job is where I was working for my uncle who owns his own business in building I was basically an assistant for him helping him with every thing, I have done woodwork for liek all my life in school so I guess it was ok but its really hard labour and at the end of the day I was making liek 125-150 a day which is ok I guess, but dealing with my uncle at times gets kinda annoying.

Another job I have had was an import/export style job for my own lil ebay business dealing with automotive parts, clothes and basically any thing else good to sell which will make profit. After over 1000+ sales I got over this as the people who buy from you are dam annoying and then the market was getting totally crappy and soo many asian sellers were flying in :@ This is where I found out I really liek marketing and at school I did a marketing/business subject so basically this has kinda formed my future career =)

Now Im a full time student in advertising/marketing and going for a big job as a marketing/sales rep atm =) hoepfully I get it becuase the pay is pretty good and it would be great work experience for my future jobs :)

hmm, lamest jobs ever were the only two non-online ones Ive had.

At 14/15 I started working weekends at Chick-Fil-A and when I hit 16 I got a second job at a pizza parlor cutting the pizzas, molding the dough, then eventually the cook. Did both of those until senior year of highschool right before I hit 18. I would have quit earlier but I needed the money. I quit both, ended up going back to the pizza place after they called and gave me their sob story. Quit a few weeks later on the spot and just left.

The reason I got to start at 14 was because they have workers permits if you can get your parents help in filing one and you are permitted to work so many hours a week.

Only thing I learned from working in the fast food industry is that I never want to work in the fast food industry again. Around age 15 I got enough money to buy by first computer then used part of my checks for a printer/keyboard/domain names/etc.

EDIT:
Chick-Fil-A: $5.15/hour (mmm minimum wage)
Pizza Parlor: $5.50/hour

If they paid me that I might have enjoyed working a tiny bit heh.

I think it works out to be about the same with the exchange rate though so its not much of a difference if those are GBP or Euro.

One of the many things I like about working online is there is no maximum amount of money you can earn, its all up to the individual.

I've already converted that from GBP to the USD lol....
Yeah, I LOVE the fact you never know how much you are gonna earn Online, you log into adsense to see your paycheck kinda cool eh.
I guess it could be 10 quid one week and 10 grand the next, which can be hard if you have a mortgage to pay lol!
I love the fact I'm 16 and have sod all to pay haha! My money goes on clothes and crap :P

Fryman, I didn't know Mexico was that bad! :S
But are house prices real cheap there? Cos here the wages are higher but the house prices are too!
In London you have to fork out 400,000 USD for a 2 bed house =/ lol

Worst job....working at a Tim Hortons ,when I was 16-18, that is about half the size it should be. Never get a chance to rest because the customers are endless. The drive through line up is practically always 5-10 cars, 20 in the mornings.

Fryman where abouts in Canada are you moving to? I am in the Vancouver area and it's as beautiful as Canada can get:)

I have a 10yr hairdressing background and have met almost every single walk of life, but retail just urks me.

Yup, going to Vancouver ;)

Visited there last year and just fell in love with the place. Only bad thing is that it is expensive as hell! I don't know if I will be able to afford it.

I spent a week in Vancouver a couple of years ago. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. But yeah going from Mexico to Vancouver will put a biiig hurting on your wallet. If I remember correctly, tiny little homes were selling for like a quarter to half a mil.

Well Fryman, if you want to live on the coast and have a really low living cost move to the east coast.

Anyways to keep in theme with this thread, I worked in a future shop as a shipper/receiver the job its self wasn't bad, in fact it was pretty fun at times, but the people who ran the store can.......
