Are the people posting them real or have their accounts been phished by spammers?
I get comments like these from different myspace friends daily.
And some don't even get deleted.

They are most likely spammers I get quite a few different messages that are obviously spam and all of the people I have contacted about it claim to not know their account was posting it.

Mostly phished accounts, I would guess.

I can't delete the ones where it has a box around "delete my comment".
Pretty lame and annoying.

Yeah, usually I think they are phished accounts. I've gotten 3 phished friends who commented me with a phishing comment. I feel so bad for my really good friends who don't have any idea how to avoid being phished you know? Alot of them think that its people who are just guessing their passwords, and I try to explain but nooo they don't listen.
And I think its funny when girls come to school and they're like "omg there was this myspace that was using my pictures zomg" i think its kinda funny, but in a sense not so much that spammers are using their pictures.

Yeah I feel the same way selena. I seriously probably put out a bulletin or two a week telling all of my friends to change their password so people don't phish/ hack into their accounts..
I bet half of them dont do it but oh well.
I'll just tell everyone right now... NEVER CLICK ON BULLETIN LINKS =D

I am not sure if this is answered anywhere else.. if so sorry for the double...
You can go into "safe mode" and then go into your comments and delete them...
I always have my comments set to be approved by me.. just to be safe :)

I wish you could edit peoples comments... to delete bits. lol
Because sometimes they say something good... and then leads onto a advertisement.

The ones with 'delete' buttons/boxes do not get deleted. Do those get deleted?

I wonder how high the conversion rate is for those "see who's spying on your page" things. I think alot of them are written with good, enticing copy like "See if the person who sits near you in class that you like is checking out your myspace page."

you cant forget about the stupid paid survey ones now. I get about 6 or 7 of them a day.
I've notice, they all come from girls, its usually a glamer shot, and they will only have one picture in there pic section. So when ever i get a friends request from someone like that, i try not to add them. Also, if they have lets say 600 friends, and no comments, its safe to say its a spam account :detective:
