Looks like your site is no longer whitelisted? or they have that glitch again where sites that are whitelisted get that message. They do this alot lately.

Uhm no, I still see it =( I'll try to contact them.

Ok it might not be the glitch then cause I have a domain that is whitelisted and it's going through.

So it looks like myspace unfortunately removed your site from their whitelist.

Hope you get it back.

they blocked all myspace layout sites that never went through the actual process of being accepted, since your hits were really high they never made you go through the msplinks thing.

and now they are making you have 100k friends on myspace i believe.

to the second part; don't think so, most sites don't get their hits from huge friend count myspaces, a lot don't even have a myspace for their site lol..

What's the process of getting your site white-listed?

tylaa
November 11th, 2008, 06:45 PM
this always works for me

send to: abuse@support.myspace.com

body: Please whitelist my domain www.(yoursite).com, it is completely safe.

*but* your whois must be public and the administrative email for whois has to be from the domain you're trying to get whitelisted

e.g - admin@yoursite.com

Hello,

Due to the increased threat of phishing and spam sites, whitelisting will not be
considered for any sites with less than 100k friends or sites that have entered into
a direct business relationship with Myspace.

If you have more than 100k friends, please send us a link to your MySpace profile.

Thank You,
MySpace.com

=/ looks like im not getting whitelisted either

i don't understand why they want you to have that

what if you don't have time to approve 100k friend requests?

They will whitelist for people without 100k. That's just their standard way of saying you need some way of proving you're legit & credible.

It's just like how their official policy on their site is that they don't restore accounts, and once it's been deleted it's IMPOSSIBLE to restore. But we all know that's not true :)

Very true. I haven't thought about that.

Not the case.
My whois is private but after I emailed them they whitelisted my domain and I used my googlemail acount to email them.
I also only had about 500 friends when I got whitelisted :)

I'm *still* not whitelisted and I've been trying about once a month since they started doing it. Each time they give me a different excuse. The recent is I need to have 100k friends on my myspace account. I asked what that had to do with my site, and he said it proved that it was a legitimate site. -.-

Maybe I'll stop trying, lol. Myspace needs a phone number! :whistling:

That sucks. I add all my friends manually so it'd take me a lifetime LOL

having a 100K friends doesn't measure the legitimacy of a website. That almost seems like they are rewarding ppl that use trains and adder bots to build huge numbers of worthless friends.

I believe the reason they are doing this, is because of the amount of traffic that is being sent away. If you have a myspace account that has 500 friends, why do you need to be whitelisted? You really don't, because chances are that you aren't getting much traffic from your myspace profile. Whereas, if you have 100k friends, you probably will be getting an excessive amount of traffic from your myspace; and being whitelisted makes that easier.

That doesn't make sense. Myspace doesn't whitelist domain's based on an individual profile or how many friends one profile has. Whether you have 100k friends on one profile or 1 friend on 100k LEGIT people profiles, it doesn't make a difference. I have a few dinky sites that I haven't touched in ages and doesn't even have a myspace profile and they're whitelisted.

I actually didn't see you pasted that. I don't know what to say, it still doesn't make sense. I have numerous sites that are whitelisted and don't come anywhere close to 100k friends, like I said, some don't even have a profile. I would just keep emailing them and I'm sure you'll get whitelisted eventually.

Should I just keep saying the same thing over and over in new emails or just reply?
