I'm excited to announce the launch of our new MySpace MyAds service - an easy, inexpensive way to promote yourself, your band or your business on MySpace. We've created a simple tool that helps you create or upload ads and target the specific MySpace users you want to reach. The best part - you're only charged if someone clicks on your ad -- not when your ad is displayed.

Get started here: http://advertise.myspace.com/ or click "Advertise" at the bottom of any MySpace page.

If you jumped in about a month ago you could make really good money but people are gaming the system so infinitely harder and you gotta spend a ton to get traffic.

Good idea, but you wont make your money back 0.25/per click.

good for cpa offers, well not really.. you can put a cpa on adwords and it'd be a lot cheaper

it's free to make the ad, but you have to pay to run it.... You set an add BUDGET (and pay that amount) before your ads begin cycling...

In all the time I've spent on myspace, I think I accidentally clicked on an ad once lol. Marketing a resource site with that system would be extremely expensive. But if you have a much higher paying niche and can target specific profiles and groups, then that is much different scenario.

I some-what like the idea because you know what kind of people you're advertising to. I was thinking of designing and selling T-shirts and I think this could be a good way to advertise it. Then you could throw your url on the banner and hope that some people wouldn't click it and then remember it and decide to visit later.

but damn, it is a bit expensive.

If you set your demographics correctly, it could work out very well.

Imagine you target low income middle aged people with ad's for foreclosure, get out of debt or short sales. In today’s market, it would convert. Send that to a CPA offer paying $22-30 / conversion and your .25-.50 cents goes a long way.

If you target sexual orientation, you could promote a gay / lesbian personal's site, very targeted and generally a good CPA rate. Push them there for $7-12 per conversion and again, your money goes a long way.

The idea is to create targeted "bunches" of users against the ad you are running. Obviously, you’re going to want to try to promote your higher paying offers, but it works when done right.
