Hey,

I've been looking to downgrade from my Dedicated server as It is becomming harder to afford with the AUD going down, its almost doubled in price & being kicked from google my traffic is non-existant.
I contacted my Host about this and they have said that they recommend I stay as I have a High memory Usage.
I run a few sites of it, i'd say with a total max of 3 - 4k u/v a day (Much more when I Purchased it).

Im not sure what to do, what do you recommend?
I'm not sure what kind of infomation you guys will need to help me but if you can, could you PM me with what info you'd need to make a suggestion?

thanks..

How long have your sites been at this lower traffic level. If it's only been a month or less I would wait a bit longer, it would really suck to downgrade your hosting and then have Google turn around and give your site(s) their rankings back and have your sites get knocked offline. Maybe downgrade to a decent VPS to handle the memory load as a shared host will probably kick you if it's really that high

I don't know the circumstances but I do know they will tell you anything to keep the extra $$ flowing in, I'd shop around for something like VPS as minnseoelite suggested.

I'm on shared hosting. It's with http://site5.com/. They are good, but there's a LOT of downtime. Which is ****. xD

But I really don't see why you'd need to have a VPS or dedicated...Surpass is good. Why not go with one of their shared packages?
