imageready help

Does anyone here use imageready to make glitter graphics? I edited a gif and after saving the image lost ALOT of quality.. what am i doing wrong?

make sure your on 256 colors mode and not 128

and also, once you save a gif file i wouldn't open and edit it. it's colrs have already been defined and if you add to it then it gets messed up. you may also have a lossy feature turned on but i don't think gifs can be lossy.
