Hello All, :)
I've been a MySpacer since Oct '06. I am using IE 7. Over the weekend I noticed that my "Online Now" blinkie icon wasn't working...nor was it showing on any of my friends on my page. Also, the "ON" incon doesn't show up on any other MySpace page either. At the left corner I see a yellow triangle with an ! in it. When I click on the icon I get this message:
"Error: Permission denied
Line: 76
URL:http://onlinenow.myspace.com/OnlineNow/UsersOnline.html?UserIDList=121004931,128270970,69 055853,135269906,17177910,89677114,40628311,503790 40,87797239,79954660,95010166,47623678,143027975,7 7474604,70265859,84517275,65919251,42213158,400040 3,68100108,73895629,109796054,111838366,136602366, 103487791,133610287,100142938,126115212,65641246,6 8000854,46194022"
However, I can see the "ON" icon in my Home section and on pages that do not have layouts.
I have tried other layouts and get the same thing. The "Online Now" icons do show up on Firefox 2 so I think it's a browser issue. I have checked to make sure my JavaScript is enabled and checked other settings in IE7. I like using IE7 so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,:boat:

Don't think it is a browser issue because with IE7 I can see my online icons without problems. It is either a problem with your image or with your code. What's the url to the profile?

Thanks for your quick reply. :) My husband has two MySpace pages and you can't see his "ON" either. It's very strange to have just disappeared. Here's the code for the layout I'm using:

Thanks for your help.
I tried other "ON" Icons from various sites including the ones you gave me...nothing worked. Then I changed my Layout again...and still nothing changed. It's like something is blocking all three MySpaces out from using the "ON" feature....I just can't think what else I can do. Well, it works in Firefox anyway.
Thanks again for you help.

You may be using cursors that only work on firefox. Some ONLY work on IE.
I have no idea now. Anyone else want to give this one a try?

My online now icons work fine. There was a change in Myspace code.
Try one of these.

Dear MKInfo,
I tried the site you sent and the Icon works in my profile picture area...that's GREAT! BUT I still cannot see who is online in my friends section below. I can only see "ON" Icons when I'm in the "home" section. In the profile page I still get the error message at the bottom left corner of the browser page. This is just nuts...
Thanks guys!

Try deleting your codes all together and get all new codes from the sites you got them from?

Hi Yabba, :balloon:
My personal "Online Now" icon appears now. I used a totally different Online Now Icon site that MKInfo gave me. However, I still cannot see my Friends "Online Now" icons in the Friends section on the bottom right Profile Page section.
I even made my own darn layout with Thomas' Myspace Layouts. The layout looks great but still no Friends Online Now icons show up. Before this I used different layouts but that made no change.

just try doing the default layout for a little while and see if that works.

Yeah, good tip!
The majority of things like that are problems with the codes themselves!
Just copy and paste the code into word or notepad and save it
then wipe everything other than plain text from your profile all together and save it...If the problem persists you know the problem is not on your end and you can contact MS Support for them to deal with the problem their end.
Otherwise, you will know the problem is with the code and then maybe we can help finding the bit of code that's causing the problems and edit/remove it :)

The plain layout does not help.
I have been doing some research and have found that it's a problem with Java Script and IE 7. I get lots of those errors on different websites. It has to do with one or more IE patches. I have no problems in Firefox or Netscape.
With IE 7 I only see the ONLINE NOW icons when I'm in my HOME PAGE area but when I go to my PROFILE PAGE I see nothing. My other two MySpace accounts are the same way.
I'll keep researching and let you all know what I find.

Greetings!
After doing exhaustive research on this problem I contacted MySpace 2 days ago. Last night I tried one more install of an Online Icon and it worked! When I went to my Profile Page I noticed the Icon in my box! Then I checked my Friends section at the bottom left and saw several friends were shown as were "On Line". FINALLY!
Great Scott, who knows what actually fixed it, the new icon or MySpace tweaking my page?
Thanks to all of you who took time out of you day to give me advice! You are a great bunch!
