Does anyone running a Myspace site use ad filtering in Adsense?
If so what are the results like?I was just reading this interesting thread over at DP : http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=223036
Thanks

Im using the filtering since a week ago, for sites like ebay.com, ebay.co.uk and lulu.com, they are bigs '1c' publishers and it can improve your cpm, in my case I have seen a little improve in the earnings, but is soon to make a conclusion.
Good luck

Filtering other myspace resource sites is pretty useless.. your CTR drops and the eCPM doesn't move one bit :(

adsblacklist.com is pretty good.. I'll generate a list and add them to the filter and let you know how it goes.

Are they actually filtering the ads?I started 2 days ago and I'm still seeing ebay although Lulu have gone.

Yes they are, usually the ads are filtered 24-48hs after the setup.

You'll have to check the urls of these Ebay ads, maybe they are using other urls then you're blocking.

I just signed up and I knew about ebay.. and not wanting their ads.. So one of the first things I did was filter them out.. and i havent seen any ebay ads yet.

Damn thplooy...what ads are you filtering...?

I've seen a rise in my CTR since i blocked ebay and have seen my weekday earnings actually rise. i'm getting between 2 and 3 cents a click average, but before filtering it was more between 1 and 2.

I need to find out some of the other myspace resource sites which are paying only 1c a click, but its hard to determine. I see pretty much the same sites on my site all the time, starts to get annoying...

Slightly OT, because of the topic linked here to digital point: I just got adlogger and installed it, shocking how many clicks come from the same IP address... I had to turn e-mail alerts off, it was one every 30 seconds alerting me of 5+ clicks on a certain IP in one session. Must have been some kind of bot, I blocked it.

Anyone else experience this kind of click click click from the same IP? I have given up blocking, and reset the limit to 10, but it's still telling me 10+ clicks from single IPs...

I was filtering ebay and lulu.com, and I used adsblacklist.com to filter out some more advertisers.

I have to add that my ctr has dropped a lot.

Adlogger isn't even working for me.
adsense shows that i get like 20 new clicks, that i am credited for, but adlogger shows NONE.

I started filtering a couple of months ago and have definitely seen a marked improvement on my earnings per click. I used http://adsenseblacklist.com to figure out who to block.

Only links I have blocked are ebay ones and 1 MFA site, and I average about 6-9 cents a click.
