Layout Coding

Does the coding for MSCMS layouts differ from the coding for GREG-J MSRS layouts?

Like in MSCMS, do you have to hardcode the background in or does it work like greg-J's ?

I believe with MSCMS you have to code your own layouts and such thats what makes MSRS script better than the rest.....along with a few other things.
