Is white-listing no longer an option?

I have a new site up. A couple of months back, I sent an e-mail to Myspace requesting them to get two of my domains white-listed and they were white-listed within two days.

Today, I sent them a new request. I asked them exactly the same way that I did last time, asking them to white-list my site and telling them that my site contained no viruses.

Within an hour, I get this response:

Hello,
Your website has not been blacklisted. Every link that links outside of myspace directs users to the page that displays "You are about to leave MySpace.com". This warning just states to the user that they should not offer their password and credential information to any external sites that ask for it. If it was the case that your site was blacklisted upon a user clicking the link in your profile they would be taken to a page where it would state that your website link is unsafe and would not offer the user the chance to be redirected to your site.

We hope you found this information helpful. If it does not fully address your question or concern, or if you have any further questions, please reply to this email keeping the subject line intact.

So, I respond to them telling them that I know my website isn't black listed, but it still has a warning page coming up. I let them know that I had a couple of other sites that are still white-listed to where it bypasses the warning page.

Myspace then responds with this:

Hello,
Thank you for your input and feedback. Unfortunately, we do not currently offer that option but are always looking into ways to improve the site and the MySpace experience.

So they are basically telling me that this is no longer an option. Either this is really true, or an employee who didn't know the facts sent this follow-up e-mail so that they wouldn't look stupid. Unfortunately, I think it's the first assumption.

Automated responses often don't make sense :D

The first one wasn't automated. Or was it?

Wow, that's lame. Maybe I shouldn't waste the time typing the email to get my new site white-listed? :(

Someone got similar emails before and complained that myspace was no longer "whitelisting", They are making it more difficult or so it seems but the option to have that warning page when going to your site is not impossible.

They're friggen dumb... -_-
I asked to get my site whitelisted about 2 months ago, first reply they sent was actually about the subject, telling me I needed to use the email the domain was registered to.
Ok, makes sense, so I sent them another email with the other email address.
Theyre response was: "Thank you for your interest in advertising with Myspace!", I was like error?
So I sent another one, telling them I just want my site whitelisted, and get another response about what to do when having troubles creating a Myspace account. Like huh? lol
I understand they get alot of junk emails a day, but on the other hand it wouldnt hurt to hire a few more *smart* people to go through all those emails.
It's not like they couldnt afford it. :hammer:

I guess if this new thing was across the board, if you clicked on a graphic from a white-listed site and it went to the red screen, we would know for sure.

I'd go try that out, but I'm too tired to think of a whitelisted site at the moment.

I've been to whitelisted sites that have inappropriate content, and I've been to those that have been denied and they look fine to me.

Sometimes I think the admins are drunk.

I gave up on whitelisting after 3 or 4 emails of stuff I needed to change.

Whitelisting is still an option. It depends on which person answers your email. If I get a weird unrelated response I always just re-send the email. HOWEVER, they will NOT whitelist sites that have the word "myspace" in it anymore, unless you are a huge site. BUT I did get themyspaceaddict whitelisted a few months back, so I guess thats a new rule.... GOOD LUCK, and don't give up hope(L)

The first 2 were done with 1 e-mail, but the last website i added i sent them a message from whatever@lush-lyts.com then they e-mailed me back saying if i wanted my domain whitelisted i had to email from the email used on my whois :/ so i emailed them from my personal email and they whitelisted me :P

No.They all point to the main page.
I just sent them an email and it was returned.

I got immediate support from "help@support.myspace.com", I got whitelisted on one of my sites via the myspace support form as well :)

When they told me it was no longer an option, it scared me because I thought that it also meant that all the websites that were once white-listed were sent back to the warning page.

But then, I checked the backlinks of my other domains, and they're still white-listed. So now, I'm guessing that all the white-listed websites are ok.

It's just that whoever wants their domains white-listed NOW, can't get it. Just think of it as missing a product when it was on sale.

If this is the case, I'm sure as hell glad that I got my other two domains white-listed when I did. Those were the main ones that I needed anyway.

Dude, that is freaking creepy. If this e-mail no longer exists, then maybe my assumptions are true. It was THAT exact e-mail that I both sent and received messages to on this matter. And it all took place just YESTERDAY.

Maybe they got rid of it because of all the white-list requests sent there.

EDIT: I just sent another e-mail to that address, and so far it hasn't been returned yet.

Whitelisting still is an option for now. When or If they take the option away, the whole whitelist is going down with it. Every link will go through the default myspace warning page. The guy who manages the whitelist is a D O U C H E. He makes up stupid lies for you not to get whitelisted.

This is the response I received from abuse at support.myspace.com.

Hello,

Due to the increased threat of phishing and spam sites, whitelisting will not be considered for any sites with less than 100k friends or sites that have entered into a direct business relationship with Myspace.

If you have more than 100k friends, please send us a link to your MySpace profile.

Thank You,
MySpace.com

Has anyone else received this response from myspace?
