How's the traffic going for everyone?

I am seeing a dip in traffic since a few days. What about everyone else?

Are people searching less for myspace stuff these days? What are all of you experiencing? Especially want to know from sites getting over 5-10k uniques daily.

The dip in traffic is caused by summer traffic being over, Almost everone has started school now and arent getting on myspace much atm, but it usally picks up around later october.

5k Difference from Labor day and Tuesday. I contribute the loss from another wave of kids going back to school. Give it another week or two and you'll start to regain traffic when the kids start their gossip, share pictures, ask each other out, etc. :cheers:

I've a big dip!
(I live in the Netherlands, and my extremetracker, tracks on dutch times)
and normaly around this time (02:05 pm) I've 130+ and now only 68

Looking at your stats, it doesn't seem as though you're really down much. As a matter of fact, you're up from 3 weeks ago, which is what people are complaining about being down. You can't take a one day spike on labor day and look at the next day and say you're down lol Your yesterday number of 1256 is higher than your average numbers 3 weeks ago... so you seem like you're doing ok.

but yes, idzone, traffic is down quite a bit a me. It started slacking around August 17th-20th for me and is still lower than normal and I haven't really seen any jumps back up in traffic thus far (besides labor day which I rank for a lot of labor day comment terms)

well m lucky iof i get 200UV a day! How do you all get loads of unique hitS? I mean i cannot afford advertising on these high UV sites, is there any other way?

Looking at my stats my traffic from almost all referring sites has dropped even from a few huge sites I have links on. I checked and all my links are still there, same anchor, position, ect so I know my link partners are taking a traffic hit as well.

its not fair to compar sep figures with aug...
My site www.pimpsurveys.com was doing 20k last year same time and now its 8k a day.
Huge down....google ranking hasnt changed but traffic has fallen across the board.
less ppl change their profile so frequently and less updates on our sites.
This makes our site quite boring.
Infact I have some applications on facebook and the trend is similar there too.Infact worse than myspace.
PPl need something new every three months or ppl just start using less of the same sites.
For how long they can visit the same sites for same comments and layouts...

just as minnseoelite pointed out, it's a ripple effect. If you have trading partners who apparently are losing 25-30% of their traffic, because their trading partners are losing 25-30% of their traffic, it will translate to your site suffering the same type of dip.
