I have been working on a generator idea and need some input. Please take a look at http://www.laymypage.com/Generators/Logo/index1.php and let me know what you all think.
Thanks for the feedback

I think it's a really neat idea
I don't think it's good for a MySpace site though
If it's that type of "logo" I'm thinking of
It would be more of a website resource... correcto? :detective:

Cool :)
I guess you just haven't got around to it, but it would be nice to re-populate the text entry box with the user's text after they press "Create", so they can try out different styles without having to type it again.

I'd work on the kerning and spacing between the characters, It looks very strange.

Thanks for the comments I have a lot of work to do with the images to get them set correctly as you have shown above.
I think as it stands now it would be more for a resource site. But with all the images and ideas in my head I am thinking I can set it to ad graphics at any point not just the beginning.
As far as the repopulating the name so they can try diferent codes I will be adding this in and also getting a save button so the can generate without creating a image every time until they choose the save button.
thanks for the feed back :)

could you make the letters transparent?

I could if I used imagegif instead of imagepng I guess. I could also make them animated that way as well. the only issue would be the time needed to generate it and the load on the server. I can give it a shot though and see what happens. :)

could you make the letters transparent?
How do you anti-alias the edges of the letters then... grey border around the text?

That is part of what I have to figure out but I am thinking as I am grabbing images in succession and I grab gif images all of the same height it should leave the images I created transparent with out have to adjust t he code to much.

If you make it a transparent png with the letters already made anti-aliased, it wouldn't need a border.
I really like the one with the butterfly.

Would it also be better every Capital letter to have an image or just a beginning one or beginning and and ending image?

If you make it a transparent png with the letters already made anti-aliased, it wouldn't need a border.
Won't work so great in IE6 though unless you put something like the alphaimageloader hack in the output-ed code but that could be... unwieldy.
