Does anyone know where some of the larger sites get their link exchange software that displays your link after someone has click their link on your site?
I've been looking for this for a while and can't find it anywhere.

I'm pretty sure if the site is large enough, they would pay someone to make a custom script..
are you looking for something like http://smarterscripts.com/perl_-_cgi/paid_scripts/IntelliLink+Pro/view ?

That does look pretty close to what I'm looking for. I'd rather it be PHP so I'll keep looking but this may be a good alternative if I can't find anything else.
I have though of paying someone to code this, just wanted to see if there was software already since other sites have it.

That looks good Sean .... but I wonder how it sends traffic to specific sites.
Does it display the links in a manner that makes sure the sites that send the most traffic have their links displayed for a longer period of time.
Edit .... On thinking about this further I can see where it would be really usefull on sites where you sell links, if you sold a number of links to similer sites (Fryman comes to mind here) then you could make sure all the sites received a similar amount of traffic which would be a much fairer way of doing it than just placing the links from top to bottom as happens now. Everyone pays the same amount but the top links will always receive more traffic than the bottom ones.
If anyone does get it please leave feedback on the product.

The sites that send the most traffic in will display higher on the list and you can also set it up so you will NOT send traffic to a site that isn't sending traffic to yours. If a link sends more traffic to your site then you send there link text will become bold. I believe there is a option the control panel to make specific sites stay at the top of the link exchange list but I can't remember as I haven't used the script in awhile.
Not good if your selling text links and if you have a high traffic site like fryman. Your better off getting someone to create a custom script that doesn't cause as much stress on the server.
This script is perfect for smaller sites that need link exchanges for traffic and not SEO purposes.

I'm looking for this script too. That link doesn't work anymore.
Is there a free link exchange script?
