chihost.fingsucks.com.
I've has the fingsucks domain for a while and thought it woudl be great for obvious negative reviews of crappy products and service and I think I will start it off with chihost. Just need to find the time lol. Anyone have any great SEO tips to make sure it shows up when people search for chihost?
I don't even remember how I found chihost but I am pretty sure it was through some spam/promo they did a while back. It was a decent rate for a throwaway host plan to host files and such...at leats that is why I got it back then.
I eventually threw a few sites on it using addon domains and all was well for a while. I ended up using up my "unlimited bandwidth", which turns out to be 150gb if you host anything, and without any kind of notice, not even an email they pull all my sites on the account down. I had to find out by noticing lacking revenue and checking. I paid $25 to get a little extra bandwidth for the last few days of the month last month. A few days later all the sites are down again. It took me 20 hours to get an answer and it wasn't even clear...something about resource overuse and they pinned it down to one file but rather than limit that one file they pulled all my sites...for 20 hours. After *****ing they put them back up but it happened again a couple days later. Same result, same crappy support. I eventually got one guy who could limit just that one file and keep the sites online...supposedly.
Well they just went down again and I have to go through the whole 20 questions with the incompetent tech support and odds are the sites will be down for longer than they should be.
So this is just a rant and a warning not to use chihost if you happen to run accross them.
Should I play with my fingsucks subdomains or just get over it while moving the sites? I've been in the process of moving anyway but it just pisses me off that they don't even bother to email me when they pull my sites. The total downtime has cost me a couple hundred or so which makes me want to put up a "sucks" site just on principle lol.
/rant
PS let this be yet another lesson for those that think having even mild resource usage sites on shared hosting is fine and saves money ;).
