the only problem i found with filezilla is that it connects like 35346 times and then you get timed out because of that, and that it doesnt always keep your files the same. it doesnt leave the spacing and stuff.

that used to happen on my old shared server... never happens anymore with my dedicated ones.

CoreFTP. Used to use SmartFTP but then it stopped uploading files properly, logging in properly and it wouldn't upload folders. CoreFTP is simple but great.

I've using WSFTP pro fro 2 years and have been meaning to try another.
This is gonna sound like a real NOOB question (and it is!)but is there any ftp prog that can upload a zip or rar file and then give you the option to unzip it?

I like using Internet explorers default ftp for most stuff but for more advanced stuff I use a free version of core FTP but i hate it, that program is evil, once it just quit halfway through updating my website code and chopped half my code away forever, i like wsftp but i can't find a free version anywhere.

SmartFTP and stuff are good but I find it a lot easier than booting up a program to just do this:

1.Open up Internet Explorer.
2.Type in the following ftp://username:password@youripaddress
3.Enjoy

That's all you need to do and Internet Explorer just turned into a nice FTP agent.

When you get a lot of corrupted files during transfers is it down to the ftp software?I only asked because I have transferred to another server today and quite a few files were corrupted.
What a nightmare.
