Myspace resource site. I am thinking about doing it.. I am just wondering if any of you have tips you would like to share with me. So far it has just been a lot of work. Trial and error. Any programs good to use?

For programs, I'm using Photoshop and Imageready...my site looks nothing like those other myspace resource sites though. I'm more on the cute side.

I've made mine, but I haven't released it yet, in fact, i'm hoping to release it tonight. It's hard work to build it up, but once its ready, its almost always a success because its unique and people love unique.
I use a mixture of notepad+ftp and dreamhost's cpanel. For glitters i use PSP and Animation shop and for layouts I use PSP.

I'm working on a new custom script as well. Handcoding everything. The biggest thing you want to do is make is easy easy (did I say easy) to add new content. I mean as simple as dragging a load of glitters into a folder and boom they are on the site. Otherwise it will be a hassle and you will dread updating the site.

The same as most people in this thread, I use Paint Shop Pro, Animation Shop and Photoshop for graphics, and Notepad for coding.

I use PSP for the layouts then code in Notepad at the moment....But coding is the part I hate, coding the bloody glitters, theres only so many times you can type "img src=" without FALLING ASLEEP lol :P
I wanna get a "backend" script to my site so I can just upload the glitters and BAM done, that would be SO nice and easy, just updating without having to code and upload every individual page one-by-one *drools* lol :P:)

I use Photoshop 7 to make layouts and glitters, plus every other graphic I make, and I also use Animation Shop. I rarely use Imageready. I hand code my pages with notepad and EditPad Lite.

I made all graphics for the layout in Photoshop CS and then coded it all using Dreamweaver. I used to hand code everything in notepad but started using DW to check spelling and when I started making my CSS more and more complicated, and now I don't know what I'd do without it, it makes life so much easier lol.
As for the actual glitters, I make them all in Adobe ImageReady, it's really simple to use.

There is too many of these free scripts out there. To stand out you have to have an unique site... the one i coded up is www.layouts-r-us.com...
and its currently up for sale over at digital point - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=219861
