I didn't do NOTHING all day yesterday but fight spyware & virus.
Gosh you don't know how frustrating it is to do that. I almost cried because I didn't know what to do. i went to bleepingcomputer.com and i did what they told me. HOPEFULLY my computer is clean by now.
I just feel so blah. Way behind on my site and it's sad you know?
If you don't mind, Answer a few questions please.
[1] Well what do you do to protect your computer?
[2] How many virus/spyware have you had?
[3] How did you get rid of it?
[4] After your computer was clean , did you trust your computer with your password?
[5] Any other helpful tips?

I just use AVG free edition
All you need to know is where the virus is, then you can delete it using safe mode. Spyware is kind of unavoidable, just dont click any links you are unfamiliar with.

It looks as though your cousins are the problem. Are they downloading stuff and surfing bad sites. You can put a stop to them doing that.
You can set up a second user on the computer and use parental controls on them, it will block any sites that you do not want them to go to.
Also use firefox and delete any icons that will open IE so they have to use firefox.

You don't just delete the trojan, it needs to be cleaned and removed from your virus program.
A way to stay clean, don't let your cousins use your computer. Simple fix.

Get Kaspersky Internet Security or Nod32 internet security these 2 are ranked highest among protection will running small foot prints. I run both (on different computers) and have never got a virus. I think Kaspersky is the best out there with Nod32 a close second.

Recently no. Thank goodness lol But surf safe sites now. Nothing strange anymore.
The best thing hun is to have your own computer which you can monitor yourself and only you know what you surf.
Or have friends or family that only surf for cool stuff, not strange sites and stuff. Otherwise you going to continue fightning viruses.
It's easy for a person that don't know much about computers to get a virus. Once you learn the pc you pick up on things to protect yourself.
I don't let nobody use my pc lol

Not if your computer have viruses. Because some viruses can help steal your private information.
If your PC is clean, I wouldn't be worried about using a credit card. Shoot I been shopping online since I first got my internet lol

Why don't you format your computer?
See I can't do that because everything would be deleted & plus. i have to turn it in to get service i can't just do it myself. & it would take like 1 week for them to get back to me.
my virus is deleted btw.

It cleans out everything you have on your hardrive. After that you would reinstall windows and all your programs. It's a clean start. ;)

[1] Well what do you do to protect your computer?
A squared, CCleaner, Nod Security, Spybot, as well as other software to maintain my computer such as o&o defrag pro, Advanced System Optimizer, Registry Repair Wizard 2008, system restore, and Tuneup Utilities 2008
[2] How many virus/spyware have you had?
I've had a few over the years
[3] How did you get rid of it?
I cried, stressed out, wanted to throw my computer down a few flights of stairs... anyway, I removed the internal HD and put it in a HD enclosure. I bought a new internal HD for my computer and spent the next couple of days reinstalling software and getting all files from an old external HD I used for weekly backup purposes. I also used GetDataBack to recover all the files from my "unreadable" old HD.
[4] After your computer was clean , did you trust your computer with your password?
Yes because it was a whole new HD
[5] Any other helpful tips?
Make sure you have antispyware, malware, and virus protection on your computer that gets updated regularly if not daily
Backup your important files at least once a week
go to porn and warez sites at YOUR OWN RISK!!! avoid them if you don't need to go there
