I stumbled across a few sites that offer these "Brat" Dolls, which are actually called Devikas and owned by a girl named Josie.
Click here for her site! (http://www.over-the-moon.org/dollz/)
Navigation are the little picture frames on the wall, in case you cant find it :P
She's handdrawn those dolls and I am not sure if she'd like to see them getting redistributed like that.
Just thought I'd let you know. :/

Agreed with Linda, I have NEVER even heard of her, or her site, or these "brat" dolls for that matter LMAO...But, on my first impression - WOW :O
Anyway, who calls them Brat dolls? =/
They actually have real Bratz Dollz makers here: http://www.trinitykiss.com/dollies/bratmaker/
That's what I would describe as a "Brat doll" if someone asked me lol :P

Yeah i noticed that a while ago.
I didn't want to start anything by bringing it up. But yes, that base was the first one i'd ever used to make a Handrawn doll, and believe me, Drawing doll clothes with good shading that looks realistic is no small task, which is why I never continued it.

There are a lot of people who just don't put much consideration into things that are online. Basically, most of them have led themselves to believe that everything is free for the taking, & since it's so easy to just take things/graphics posted on the net, nothing's stopping them.
I do sympathize to those who actually have taken their time to make their own original work only to have them snatched by others, but it happens so much now, & I've been a constant target by these "snatchers" that I've already become a bit immune & almost don't even notice it anymore.
In time, I've somehow learned to let it go & just tag my images for my own peace of mind simply because when it's online, everything is possible & impossible at the same time. It's possible to take other people's stuff but it's (from my experience) aboslutely impossible to track who's taken whose work & especially contacting all of these sites just to ask for the images to be removed or at least be given some sort of credit. :P
It takes too much time, effort & even money for others, to try to correct what has been going wrong for a long time now, so basically the only best thing a designer can do (especially if he/she displays creations on the web) is just to watermark the graphics at hand.
It is very unfair for the creators, no doubt, but some people just don't care. :(

The thing is, even palace dolls were created by someone, who also took the time the way Jose did to create the dolls.
So even selling doll generators is technically stealing, but only the creator of the doll(s) can do anything about it.

It's become such a big thing now with dolls I doubt the owner could really do much since loads of sites carry the same dolls and such. Kinda sucks for those who spent time on making each doll.

The difference between this and palace dolls andria is that josie has a TOS for her dolls, wheras putting things on the palace is like making them freeware. Josie's dolls, if i'm not mistaken, weren't included in MSRS, but were actually in a package sold by someone on the side...but not sure.
Its not exactly the site owners fault if it comes in a package that they purchse, so its not right to jdge the site owner, but the seller of the pack..

Does anyone know the actual rules on some dolls
eg - The Palace
but more importantly, does anyone know the actual Terms of Use for
Sayclub
MaxMP3
You name em...
Cos some of them, EG Sayclub, are actually multi-million companys you know, so they own the copyrights and could sue every site with a sayclub doll on it if they ever wanted to kinda thing lol..Just wondering, does it say in there TOS, about "you CAN use the dolls" etc...??
I can't read Korean :P

I was actually going to mention this in a thread before. :P
I think a lot of the owners of the sites with the Devika dolls on aren't aware/don't care about these dolls because they come in one of the resource scripts. To them they're just graphics on their site.
Much like the glitter generators that contain letters Love and Carrie made.

^LOL yeah, at first it really bugged me to see all these generators using letters I made but eventually I learned to just look the other way.
Won't do me any good getting piped up over it. Especially since there was nothing I could do. o.o
