Hey,

Well heres the deal, ive been using Photoshop for about 4 years now and I think I have gotten pretty good.

I have done quite alot of commercial work and believe graphic design as one of my best talents.

Then today, after 4 years I decided to look into brushes, after trying and not really bothering to look properly into them instead focusing on Vectoring and other parts of Photoshop I realised I have completely missed out from the uses of brushes!

I finally looked into them properly and realised that brushes are as important as alot of things in Photoshop and I wish I had looked properly into them years ago!

So for anyone knew to Photoshop, go get yourself some Photoshop Brushes from DeviantArt or Google!

I thought this could also be a place for people to share free brushes links/packs etc. So its not a completely pointless post :P

Thanks,
Dean

Brushes are amazing. I've been using them in PSP ever since i started designing graphics 2 years ago when i was 13.

Thought i'd share, for those few PSP userrs on here, if you see a .abr PS brush pack you want, but they don't provide image packs or stamps, i got this wonderful program called abrviewer, that you can view the brushes as individual images without having PS. It is truly a great tool. http://abrviewer.sourceforge.net/

One of my favorites for grungy/vintagey brushes, which a lot of my favorite brush sites are, is
www.juvenilecasualty.net
http://hybrid-genesis.net/

(i will keep adding links so keep checking my post if you like)

Yeh Selena your the reason I looked into them because of your post I figured before that you had simply vectored all of your contact table images like the hearts and such :O

Thanks Selena!

I'm good with vectors since I studied Corel Draw for almost a year, I don't have the program anymore though. Photoshop is much harder (at least the pen tool).

Anyways yeah, brushes are the best. Although some have stupid TOS.

haha Dean, I posted a topic exactly the same as this about a week or so ago, it's just below titled 'Brushes'. Yeh... I have absolutely no idea how we have lasted this long not only doing commerical work, but just messing about on our own projects without burshes.
