How to Make Glitters

I was wondering if anyone out there had a tutorial on how to make your own custom glitters without a generator. I have adobe photoshop. What else might I need? How do I actually make them?

I was wondering as well. I don't even need a full tutorial, but rather what tools (and functions in Photoshop) you use.

I use animationshop which is very easy to use.
Not sure about imageready though.

I use PSP 7 and animation shop, easiest way for me.

I use PSP 8 and animation shop, there is ways to get such great glitters done in those programs, but i know people who do amazing glitters in PS as well.

it'll also be good for you to have a glass text plugin or some kind of text effects plugin. Glass text has been my best friend ever since i discovered it.

I'm working on some new styles of glitter as well, since theres so many different styles you can do.

I use PS7 and Imageready.

Its good to begin with tutorials, but go off track a bit. Dont follow them exactly. I learnt only a few months back, and the biggest hint i could give is to experiment. Play around with things. Just do whatever, and if it looks good, then great, if not, then just start again :)

Are there any more good (and basic) tutorials for PSP and animation shop? My own efforts at glitters are pretty feeble :)

I use photoshop to make and animate my glitters.
I just make text, add a glass effect. Then add a transperant glitter fill- http://too-fresh.net/you/glitblocks.php and put that over the top for each frame [usually three or two].
Also- make a border with a solid grey fill - [also on the link i gave you; emma's awesome].

I use psp9, eyecandy and animation shop3.

You basically open up your animated glitter fill, past as new multiple images, type your text using the glitter fill as your pattern, and paste it into AS3 and press play. Thats a simple way of doing it :)
