I was sitting here at the computer trying to get my fingers to co-ordinate and the screen to stay still after a few wee beers last night and I lost my network connection.

So, my fuzzy-wuzzy brain starts going through the mental checklist - nope, everything seems okay at the computer - wait! I don't have an internet connection - no, I don't have a wireless connection - huh? :hammer:

I look to the wireless unit to check the internet light is getting a signal and the unit is without power. :detective:

Hmmm, I thinks, must be a fuse gone in the circuit. Nope, other appliances on the same circuit are working.

I inspect the wireless unit's connections - all appears in order. It was working fine a minute ago.

Then, just to be thorough, I check the push-button, on/off switch at the back of the unit and somehow it had turned off! By itself! There's no-one else about at the moment that could have touched it! WTF?!

To turn the unit on or off, I need to depress the button fully. If it's off, the button pops out to its 'off position' and when it's turned on it is locked in the 'on' position.

Ok, that's was odd. I'm not prone to flights of fancy (well, except for the marmite and island of lesb ... er, ahem) but that's a new one on me.

I sure hope 2007 isn't gonna be one of those 'strange' years that happen to me every so often. :nuke:

Or maybe you just turned it off and forgot? Try to remember, i know its hard.
Haha just sounds like something silly that you might have done, like press it without noticing or something.

Things like that happen to me all the time. I was trying to unhook my mom's speakers, and then i went back to my computer and was freaking out because the internet wasnt working, i went scrambling to my mom's computer and checking everything and then my mom suggests i check the power strip to see if its turned on and i'm like "mom don't be silly of course its on" and it wasnt, somehow i turned it off while trying to unhook her speakers, so perhaps the same happened to you?

LMAO! Watch it, whippersnapper! :P :wheelchair:

I was using the connection at the time so it wasn't me who turned it off.
