Do you post a blog on your profiles?

I do on my main one...just about new stuff etc.
Yesterday I updated it with the latest addition and lo and behold I got a Google alert for my domain name in the new post within 4 hours of posting the blog!!!!

On my personal account, i post blogs when i'm feeling philosophical or I want to get out my feelings about something that happened or something.
So yes I do, but only on my personal account, about basic personal offline things.
I posted one about my feelings on love, another about how the future scares me, and my latest one, why is everyone so obsesed with sex. LMAO.

I was just very suprised that Google picked it up so quickly.I will litter it with keywords and stuff from now on.

ive found that they are really quick to update serps on profiles with lots of friends.

also, im seeing lots of profiles holding good ranks for big keywords such as "myspace" "myspace images" and "myspace proxy" (which im currently #1 for :) )

Just to add.... all of my accounts profiles are PR4 in google.I got them from some guy on DP.They were deleted accounts that he found with PR.

I rarely post on it. Sometimes I do but I end up deleting it after a few hours. I do have another blog (http://imsergio.com) though.

Yup, this works well. Much in the same way that google indexes it's own blogger blogs quickly. I still get plenty of high PR backlinks from forgotten blogger blogs.

Yes.
We all start somewhere and sharing knowlege is a good thing.
Go to http://www.google.com/alerts
Fill in your details ie www.yoursite.com (http://www.yoursite.com) or I just use mysite.com
type : comprehensive
I use the once a day option
Fill in your email
job done.
It is easier to make an account to keep all your alerts in one place and you can edit them later.
