I need a few made, and i don't mind buying them, but I'm just curious as to how people make them? Is it all php or coding or something like that? Or is it made in flash or something like that?
I'm clueless. :sweatdrop:
Thanks in advance to whoever can help me out.

I've made few simple ones with javascript, so i'm sure the flash counters are made with flash (actionscript) maybe javascript with it

There's some websites that have widget sources, like http://flashkit.com - They have games and applications as well, all available in fla files (flash). :)
Javascript is cool but, not as fancy plus it won't work on some sites.

most countdown timer generators are made in flash using actionscript.

i made this one in flash, http://www.modmyprofile.com/generators/custom-countdown.php
keep in mind most social networks don't let you use javascript, so flash is the only real-time solution, you could always render it in php/gd but it wouldn't animate the countdown.
i do however use php in the building process, for the code generation as well as the picture viewer/handler.
