I was asked to move this here so I did.....Original post http://myspacepros.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1292

I didnt mean to bust into Frymans link sales thread so here is were mine will be.

I will post a link to this one in frymans to direct all stuff here.

The traffic on the site jumps around quite a bit. On the Low end it gets 30k Visits a day and then can and has gone up to 70k+ a day.

The traffic you will see from this depends on what your Tagline is. Some people have only gotten 1700 for the week while others have gotten well over 8k for the week so the tag you use here is probably the most important thing you decide on. The site is loaded with layouts so I would say moving into your own niche would be a plus in my eyes but then again its trial and error to figure out what works best for you.

The price is $65 a week and you get 2 links of the same for that price. One near the top of the Nav bar and then again at the bottom of the Nav Bar.

These are the ones that have links now and when it expires. Only if they dont renew will a space become available.

Ok the way this will work is that the people that have existing links will have the choice to move up to the bigger site or stay where they are now.

This will leave openings on either one site or both. At that time I will go down the list to see if those people that are on it already and have been waiting FOREVER have a chance to get in.

Link sales on the new site will be limited to 10 and I will raise the limit of 6 on existing site to 10 also.

I am running a test on the new site now where there are links to my sites and then one thats not my site. I am taking the info from what I get and what the other person that owns a link there gets and see what the average hits per day are at this time. Keep in mnd right now I have the links at the bottom of the Nav Bar and that will be moved up once links go live and more hits will be produced by doing this.

Just a heads up.....The other person that has a link there has already had over 300 hits just today with his link at the bottom of the page and its only 1:15pm EST I forcast that that link will get over 1k hits today and its at the bottom. Think what that same link will do when I move it up the page.

Traffic is growing by the day and I have to get a server that will support this traffic at all times.

Also Im in the process of making another site so in 2 months or so we may have even more openings for that site also.

If this arrangement pisses anyone off then Im sorry but to be fair to those that have been waiting already then its only the correct thing to do.

I pay $1150 a month for a link on one site and it sucks cause I might get 1k a day hits from it. It is the 1st month I bought a link there and I wont be renewing it at all.

Just an update for everyone. I am in the process of moving my sites. This is a very long process when you have so many.

The reason for the move is because of a couple of sites that need Load Balancers to even the load between Servers on certain sites. I have 1 server left to do and then I will start changing the DNS for each site and making sure they come up correctly as they should. Once this is totally complete the links for the new site will become open and as advised in a earlier post I will begin the process of filling both sites with new links.

Ok I need all existing link buyers to contact me and let me know if they want to move up to the new site or stay where they are.

The new site will be $400 a month to start and I will only be selling links in 1 month increments.

The 1st 2nd and 3rd spot will be higher then the other 7 below it. I will be listing those top 3 spots up for auction for 2 days and the prices will start at what is described as below. These top 3 spots will be open to anyone and you dont have to have an existing link to get a bid on these.

1st spot is $550 a month Starting Bid

2nd spot is $500 a month Starting Bid

3rd spot is $450 a month Starting Bid

The other 7 spots will be $400 a month.

Here are the stats for the past week.....Even though traffic dropped since the server move it is steady coming back.

How does the traffic compare to your current site, as in, what can be expected to be received? Also, what is the site and the link placement?

It's a far greater price increase to what I imagined, especially as the first 3 positions seem much more expensive. Not sure I can decide right away.

How does the traffic compare to your current site?

Well it depends......This site is usually 2-4 times more traffic. It had 81K Uniques right before I moved servers and hosted the images offsite so the site is now building back up to that point and will eventually surpass that within a couple of weeks or so.

This is a MSRS site and the links will be the 2nd section in the Nav Bar which is sitewide.

The top 3 spots always get the most hits then any others regardless of what your tag says. I have tested the site and the 1 test site was getting 800-1800 hits a day with the link at the BOTTOM of the page. If that same link had been moved up to the top Im sure the hits would be MUCH higher.

I bought a link on MySpaceSupport.com for over $1200 a month for another site and I was lucky to get over 1k a day from them in traffic.

This site here has no advertisement going to bring in traffic and I have paid for no links anywhere. This traffic in from SE and MySpace itself.

This has totally lost me.Whats the original list on page 1 for?

The people that have links on my site now have 1st dibs on the bigger site. Except for the top 3 spots.

They have a choice to stay where they are or move up. If they choose to stay where they are and bigger site doesnt get filled I go to the list. Basically its like this.

There are 6 links now that people have on my one site. I am opening 10 on the bigger site and expanding the existing site from 6-10 so there are 20 spots altogether and only 6 people that have first dibs so that leaves 14 spots open at which time I go to the list on the 1st page.

Ok they have paid for a month...so its all sold again.

Also let me advise everyone of something. I have a tracker that tracks the hits each link gets. It does this by creating a redirect it runs through and gathers the info.

Please read this part of the article

================================================== =

As long as we’re talking about links, this seems like a pretty good opportunity to talk about a simple litmus test for paid links and how to tell if a paid link violates search engines’ quality guidelines. If you want to sell a link, you should at least provide machine-readable disclosure for paid links by making your link in a way that doesn’t affect search engines. There’s a ton of ways to do that. For example, you could make a paid link go through a redirect where the redirect url is robot’ed out using robots.txt. You could also use the rel=nofollow attribute. I’ve said as much many times before, but I wanted to give a heads-up because Google is going to be looking at paid links more closely in the future.

The other best practice I’d advise is to provide human readable disclosure that a link/review/article is paid. You could put a badge on your site to disclose that some links, posts, or reviews are paid, but including the disclosure on a per-post level would better. Even something as simple as “This is a paid review” fulfills the human-readable aspect of disclosing a paid article. Google’s quality guidelines are more concerned with the machine-readable aspect of disclosing paid links/posts, but the Federal Trade Commission has said that human-readable disclosure is important too:
================================================== ====

So as you can see my site can get de-indexed for trying to effect the way the SE does things.

If anyone has any better Ideas please step forward and say so........

MKInfo
April 15th, 2007, 12:03 PM
I don't know where everyone is getting the url from as I can't find it anywhere.Maybe I'm just tired.
Also take my name off that list on the first page because I don't even know what its for now.

Also after reading about paid links I would rather not risk it.

Thanks
MK

Just a heads up for all the price for the 1 week link has gone up from $125 to $150 and the monthly rate has been raised from $400 to $500.

The reason for this is the Traffic has picked up something crazy and the BW is also going up quite a bit.

These links are still by far the best you will get for the money. A site with 160,000 Uniques a day charges almost $1100 a month for a link spot. I was just looking at the stats on the clicks people are getting and I will say this. Your Tag means the WORLD. One of the links has gotten 28,000+ clicks so far this month while most of them range from 10,000-20,000 hits. Thats just for 9 days.

When it was over 100K a day the links were $500 a month but since the drop in traffic I lowered the price to $300 per month. Just go to the site and hit the Red links in the left Nav Bar under Suggested Sites that say advertise here and follow the process. Its all automated.
