Photoshop Brushes Help

Everytime I load the brushes in photoshop then i close it and reopen it it isn't there? can anyone help me?

If you haven't put them in your presets yet, put the brush file into all programs -> adobe -> Photoshop CS_ -> Presets -> Brushes
Then restart your PS and it'll be there in your brush list... or are they already in your presets and still not loading?

I put it in the presets folder and it doesn't work still.

Make sure you're closing down Photoshop correctly after importing the brushes. If you cold shutdown your computer Photoshop won't save its latest settings.

Don't load brushes by opening the brush file. Instead go to your brushes and click on load brushes. That always works for me :)

I load all my brushes.
& I save them all as one big file.
Then if they ever go away, I just reload my whole file.

If they show up twice, just open the preset manager & use the shift/ctrl keys to delete the ones you don't want.

I think after a while your photoshop saves them in the presets.
Mine does that. :D

dude I was wondering the same thing before.... has anyone solved the mystery? I think Andrew2 was telling me about a program to dl so you can see all the brushes, but I forget what it was called. When I first got PS I loaded them all and it made it run REAAALLYYYY slow, and then Felicia said you cannot have all your brushes showing at one time, that you have to add them one by one when you need it (which blows if you ask me cause all you see is a file name lol), and now ammy says she has all hers? Boy I am MEGA CONFUSED.....:yes:

Not sure if it will load them all automatically but at least if they're gone you'll only need to load one file :)

Ok Vickie gave me that link before and said that it was only for viewing them if you DONT have PS.... but if you run it will it show what they look like in your brushes folder when you go to chose one? I think thats what andrew was tellin me about..... you know what I meen. Like when you click to pick a brush a HUGE list of file names come up, and you dont know what they look like till you load them all:?

You could try saving it and loading it into the preset manager but I don't know how that's different from loading the brushes the regular way.

Does anyone here know how to get ALL your fave brushes into ONE file like that? Sorry for asking SOOOO may ????s just new to PS.. I know PSP in and out but Id like to be fluent in BOTH :pinch:
