Too Big & Green?

I just made a very different layout for one of my sites. I finally used a brighter color (which I almost never do) but I have a feeling its too bright and big.
It reminds me of Shrek but I wanted to know what others think :)

Should I leave the header the way it is or should I change it? I want to make the site design stand out but I'm not sure if this is the way to do so :/

I think the bright color is ok, I am wondering if maybe you would want to spice the text up a little bit. Nothing over the top because you are obviously going for clean. Maybe just something as simple as a 1pt black stroke on the letters. I think the white is blending slightly into the green. Also maybe cut the height on the header. I think if it cut off at the line above the free website & design resources and you put that tagline up higher or to the side it might work.

I LOVE those colours...don't change em!! I agree with all of Mel's suggestions... also maybe making the background behind the menu a darker shade of grey would differentiate it from the content area. It looks pretty awesome though.. I really like it :)

It's a bit big for me, the text is a little boring- but it's a good colour and the main idea is awesome :)
