I have put together a set of swimsuit model layouts (just about ready-to-go YEAH!) and I wanted to see what everyone thought before I posted/tried to sell them =)

A couple thoughts:

I left out the ext . net. banner because I want to beauty of the top photo to stand out.

I am questioning the size of my website name on the contact table. Should it be smaller?

I'm doing black or dark gray backgrounds on all *i think* because it makes the photo stand out that much more.

Should I do a couple with a 'flipped profile' so they have a different look about them?

Each one has its own color scheme. They aren't all blue/black.

Thanks for the help!!

I think the tag on the contact table is a little big.. I think that may stop users from using the layout.
Instead of using ready photos why don't you edit the photos, cut out the models and add some brushes to the background :)
The layout is a little too basic at the moment.

Yea I thought the tag was a bit big too. As for cutting out the models & adding brushes I'm not sure. That seems to be the only thing people do anymore. Plus I'm trying to make these for guys and sometimes I think these 'brushed up' layouts are too girly. I will give it some thought though for sure =)

If you want you could try to add less girly things like flames and grunge brushes to the picture. I think that they'll sell better that way because just about everyone can take a picture and turn it into a myspace layout but those layouts just don't stand out. You could also use vectors: http://www.vecteezy.com/gallery to spice pictures up a bit. Hope that helps :)

I don't like it =\ The CSS is plain. You should try usin a diff font, like georgia (Andrew yells at me for usin the font youre usin)

I like the colors, but the banner on top is way too big and covering stuff.

I also think it needs a lil bit more color in it, except for just blue.

Dont do a flipped profile, because the horizontal scrollbar gets lost when that happens most the time :/

I hate monitor differences because nothing is hidden or out of place on mine. What browser are you using Kasami? What is your monitor size?

Everything in this process goes against everything I learned in art school =/ this is why I just don't get it!

Firefox 2.0, 1400x900 widescreen

Looks odd in IE7 too

I'm still lost because those are the same settings I'm using. How frustrating!!

What do you think of the photo? Do you think the model should be cut out and put on a background of brushes or do you think the beauty of the photography should stand for itself?

Colorized a lil bit would look good I suppose, maybe an aged sepia tone? Make her look vintage, that or color enhanced

PS did you edit the css a bit? the photos not overlapping the tables anymore

I haven't touched it. I have had to refresh my browser on lots of peoples site to get it to look right, I'm wondering if FF is buggy.

I'll put the sepia/vintage look into the pot of ideas =)

The image was covering stuff because the MySpace Ad at the top was gone. :)
The ad shows up and sometimes it doesn't, it rotates.

Interesting maybe thats why more people don't use this type of layout design.

Ok Here is my 2nd attempt (I can't seem to edit my original post)

*Note: The image of the model is clearer in the 'real' version

I like the skinnier layout
I want the bg to be white but the colors in the middle are throwing me for a loop!

A lil better, but try not to save the backgrounds as GIFs :/ save them as JPEG or PNG.. Preferably JPG because they load faster and a lot of people still use dialup.

Its got a summer feel to it because of the colors but instead of the orange table, try making it the same pnk as her bathing suit? And instead of black text how about white maybe? :/

Yea I had mentioned the background in the real version is different. I uploaded the wrong one and was too lazy to change it for the sample =)

I was worried about the pink because I think the audience for this is more guys? I mean I'd never use a swimsuit model layout myself and I'm bi even,LMAO!

What do you think? I guess the others will have darker colors so the guys can choose them.

but those colors you've got now are pretty girly =x

If youre gonna make a lyt for guys, they like darker stuff :/ like black and white or somethin

Maybe enhance the photo with psp scripts and add a some brushes to it to give more of a layout type look. It just looks like a picture sitting on top of coding. :/

To be honest, I think the picture is a bit too big and plain.
It may take a while to load for people with slow internet connections.
I agree with the people above, add some brushes & colors.
Also, instead of making it an image at the top of the page, I'd make it the extended network box and crop the image a bit.
But your idea for swimsuit model layouts is great.
