Whenever I open an image it opens like this

http://img306.imageshack.us/img306/2878/2hr6.jpg

I need ALL my images to open up showing the size of them, like this

http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/2923/untitledql2.jpg

If I do this manually for each image I'll go crazy, and I can't find the setting for this anywhere. Any help?

This might be a solution for you:

Press Ctrl+R or go to View > Rulers.
If you're in photoshop, double click the rulers and change Rulers to use pixels.

If the option exists to do what you're after, I've never seen it in any version of Photoshop since 3.1. I think this is the closest you'll get to what you're after.

If you let me know exactly why you want to know the dimensions, and for what purpose I might be able to prescribe an alternative program to do what you're after.

Click on the little arrow thingy, Fryman - it opens a drop down menu that lets you choose your preference. That should make it the default for the next time you open an image.

Failing that, Edit > Preferences > Optimization (I think) and set it up from there.

Yeah if you change it for one image, it should keep that setting for all subsequent images.

No, it doesn't.

The rulers thing sort of did the job, although it does take me more time to figure out the size, with the size in the footer of the image it is much easier but I still can't find the setting to make it stick for any image I open

A custom tutorial

Click on the drop down menu

Left drop down menu

Choose the drop down on the right side - set it for download sizes:

If the above doesn't work, use the preferences option from the edit menu, then repeat the above steps.

That should work.
