font selection/coloration/size aside.... I think those "dollies" are kinda played out.

Why not something fresh and unique, a logo graphic to compliment the site name? A multi-colored snowcone maybe?

I really like the top, but I think you should make the side text like the one on the bottom. :)

The text on the right - make it arial with negative kerning or whatever you have in PSP...you know, negative letter spacing so the letters are close together. and make it white and light blue text, alternating on each line. Pixel fonts don't always work.
