I was editing my profile, when I was clicking the navbar to change the hover codes...
And I clicked it, and a popup came up and asked about anti virus software, then it like hijacked my browser..
I looked in my profile and found:
<style>.navi a:visited {visibility:hidden;}</style><div class="navi"><a class="popup_wrapper" style="cursor:default;background-image:url(http://4ov4i.cn/bg.jpg);left:0px;top:0px;height:8960px;width:1087p x;" href="http://4ov4i.cn/s/" m$l$
Which I did NOT put into my account.. :-/
Anyone else see this before? I dont use my personal account much so it came as a suprise and I had this this thing before, but didn't think twice about it.. Thought I clicked a myspace ad or something.

no, it was a "virus scan" popup, it made the window hidden then a popup appeared on the bottom corner that said I had a virus and had to do a security scan.. then I clicked the X out of the popup box and it took me to a website with "virus scan" and stuff.. It was really intrusive and obstructive.

I'm not sure how it got there either. I would consider submitting the code to MySpace.

Sorry I'm late but this happened to my dads computer once, it happened to be a trojan, and then I get it every now and then randomly. I once went to do a reverse phonenumber lookup on whitepages.com and got if after clicking the "submit" button. Supposedly, if you click anything on the dialong box itself, it "installs" or whatever and then whenever you try and access the internet its a blue designed page promoting a virus product, after my dad called his IT person, he suggested that whenever it happens to just end the task (CTRL+ALT+DELETE) and end the process itself. Weird how that happened while visiting myspace and how the code was IN your profile.

In my own experience, whenever i have had a virus/spyware popup i have had spyware on my computer... if you ever get spyware/virus i would recommend Regseeker, it keeps my computer completely clean.

I actually had that happen once.
I emailed myspaces troubleshooting.
And they helped me out.
Now I use firefox =/

ok here is my thoughts on it.
i know some people who use to make things like those, they called them worms, they would cover a whole persons profile or a single image or anyhting, once it was clicked you would get a pop up to distract you while it took over your browser and edited your profile.
it was used most common by myspace "whores" to get more friends, they use to have it post a bulletin for them and add their add button to the person profile !
i thought myspace patched it, i guess a new one has been made !

You should install the noscript add-on to your Firefox. It blocks all scripts by default on every website, so for each new website you have to allow scripts... which is annoying... but it makes your browser much safer. No scripts can run unless you manually allow them to. I'm not afraid to go to sketchy websites anymore, lol.

It's not really a big deal, I think they've filtered the item because I haven't heard much about it since I posted.
This can be closed I guess.
