Hey Greg,
Since you closed the orginal thread.. I started a new one that will hopefully stay on topic.
Is there any update on MySpace and MySpacePros to form an official relationship?
thanks!

not sure where myspacepros fits in, but the people at nabbr threw out the idea to myspace and i believe they will be running it. Don't know if it is a finalized deal yet. most people got an invite to join back in early february.

This is indeed the case. Mike over at Nabbr is who contacted me asking me to head the council, however they have been less than stellar with their communication with me. I've all but written it off at this point.

Can't you just bypass the nabr people? and tell myspace "Hey, I can do this this this and this, let's go."

Going behind the back of Nabbr and approaching MySpace directly isn't something that strikes me as being entirely honest and forthcoming, and in reality it seems a bit underhanded. If Nabbr drops the ball on this then that is on them and I will pursue it without them. Until I know for sure though, I'm not going to do anything that might jeopardize any future relationship between this site and MySpace.
I am currently working with another large advertiser with a close relationship to MySpace as well and they are much more communicative and have always followed through - so we'll see where that leads this week. It's been a very productive past week/weekend as far as MySpacePros goes which is to say, it is the only thing I have been able to work on at all. I am working very hard to prove my commitment to this community once again and I believe I am close to doing that.
Obviously, you all will be the first to know.

Thanks for all the hard work Greg. I'm sure we all will appreciate your efforts.

I've heard from a wide range of people that the council exists, who heads the council is only from the word of one person, but I know that communication between nabbr and it's associates is minimal-none. It's a shame for nabbr, and I am sure they will see decreasing statistics for leaving bull**** customer service to their clients.

That seems to be a common complaint from nearly everyone I talk to about it. It's disappointing to say the least.

Thats not true at all Andrew and where you got it is beyond me. Those actually involved are communicated with almost daily. Those that arent involved well you know what happens there. They get no communication.
Once the announcement was made on here by Greg I told all of you what the deal was but none of you wanted to listen cause Im a so called newbie. Greg the council is happening and those involved are communicated with all the time.
Remember this is what Greg himself said to me..
I don't have time for the usual childish B.S. Your sources are either lying or you are lying, either way I don't appreciate it.
So neither I or my sources were lying at all as it now seems.

irs pretty obvious that some companies like nabbr and slide.com + mega sites
have connections and affiliates at myspace, theirs no doubt they all ready have meetings on a weekly or monthly process.
just this whole myspace pros and myspace i cant see it happening, not for a long while any way, but im sure their are people on here who are all ready heavily affiliated with myspace yet they are probly too busy to post.

I'm unsure of their reasons for approaching me and offering me this and then ceasing communication, but I have my suspicions.

#1 Andrew2...If Nabbr was bad at everything you stated than 90 % of the top 100 sites wouldnt run their ads!
#2 The council will be head up by NABBR! Plain and simple. They have a direct Relationship with Myspace and THEY will choose who will head up the council.
#3 The owners of the largest sites will most likely be the ones with face time at Myspace. But all people who are involved with Nabbr, as an affiliate, will have an opportunity to post the questions they would like answered and Nabbr W/ (council members) will decide relevant topics to discuss on behalf of the Nabbr Network and concerns of all resource sites...
#4 Nabbr will soon be allowing all sites to participate in running their offers.
#5 I have no idea why / what was spoken about to Greg, But its their Council not our Council. They are building it as they see fit. I'm sure once the first meeting is set in stone People on this forum will be involved by people asking questions or site owners reporting back on behalf of those involved.
If you have questions Ill be glad to answer as I will check back for the next day or so...
