Left-column: I would use the padding-option for the text-links (at least 5px)

Right-Column: Center the titles Hot Sites and Link Exchanges, and align the text-links left (padding 5px)

SprinkleSparkle: Load slow, me like categories under head, ad on top right look out of place.

GirlyMySpaceLYTS: Love header, Maybe make bow smaller so it's less sharp on edges (if possible to modify psd), maybe add padding to left side of nagivation so there be space around the hearts between the pink blocks.

mhstee- For the 5px padding, do you mean 5px into the left or 5px to make it wider looking?

Andrew2- Removed the ad, that was bugging me too. I don't know where else to put the site-related links though. For girlymyspacelyts, I don't have the .psp file. I deleted it. :(

Like how sprinkle-sparkle is not too girly so it wont scare away the male audience that might stumble onto the site. I would put a nice 728x15 google link ad on the bottom of your header. Looks good :)

Great sites! I agree with the text padding on sprinkle-sparkle. It's not a big deal, it just looks a bit close to the edge. You don't have that issue on the other site because of the hearts before the text links.

The background on girlymyspacelyts.com looked a lot like charmroyal.com's background. That was the very first thing that caught my eye. There are differences, but I didn't notice them by memory only (other than the colors) until I went over to her site. It's very cute though!

I was always paranoid that guys wouldn't feel welcome. Glad to know that. :D Most of my content IS rather girly though. :pinch:

Hmm any suggestions on what I could change the background to then? I think the site is polka-dotted enough as it is! But horizontal stripes would look very plain..I dunno!

I like the sprinkle sparkle site, it has like a hint of punk in it but with more bright colors. The layout is pretty cool, the only thing for me is that the menu text and text highlighted in pink in your header is a bit small to me, I have a large screen resolution so it's hard for me to read the text with out getting right up next to my moniter.

Sprinkle Sparkle to me has looked better layout wise. Maybe it's just the style i don't like. Everything else about the site rocks though. It looks like you did an upgrade with it a bit.

I have envied GirlyMyspaceLyts from the moment you first spoke out about having the site open. The content is amazing and i even use the myspace layouts on my myspace. Super girly which i love =).

The GirlyLayouts seemed to be having some issues with a wordpress blog showing up on your main page.

Sprinkle sparkle looks great to me. I noticed you had a google ad unit way down at the bottom of your page by the footer, I could be wrong but that doesn't seem like a good place to have it for getting clicks.

Yeah, I was trying to fix it...but failed. I switched to FanUpdate now anyway so happy days. :D

Do you mean that you prefered my old layout style now? The kind where I just popped random brushes everywhere? I've tried to get away from that sort of style now, and I'm trying to go for more simple looking layouts. I hope my layouts aren't too simple..
And I've changed the CSS around since you posted - so maybe it looks better now? I wasn't fond of the CSS at all.

As I said above - I changed my style because I was getting bored of layouts with brushes smothered everywhere...They weren't very creative. Maybe my layouts aren't creative now either but I prefer them. :) I might try and make something more...brush-y for my next layout. It's hard for me to make brush-y layouts though! My mind goes blank on what brushes to use, plus I tend to use the same brushes in every layout. o_O And the finish result always looks like it's been made in 5 minutes but sometimes layouts take me over a day. Enough rambling!

If I took the sunglasses and bow off = blank spaces! Dundundun!

Yah people do actually comment! :yes: Like once a month...Some people don't both...but the ones that do = helpful. I get a rough idea of what's popular and what people are using.
