CTR Question

It just hit me that I know nothing about Adsense's CTR.
I looked it up in Google's help section but I still don't really get it.. Is it better if it shows a high percentage or a low percentage?

I've been playing around and have gotten mine up to about 4.0% for now... doesn't do me any favors though until I at least crack the 10,000UV/day mark though :)

4.0% is easy with low traffic.. my 1k site gets around there. once you start hitting 30-40k it's not as high. but i'm sure someone else will tell me they have a 40k site with 4.0% ctr :D but they are obviously elite.

its good if you have a CTR around 4-8%

but depending on traffic once u have high high traffic its harder and harder to get 1%

if your CTR is over 14% then its time to worry,

too high is bad because it shows low impressions and high clicks = some one is clicking their own ads.

these figures are just made up by me but you get the idea.

for this month my CTR is 2.17% which i thought be pretty good if i had about 10k more impressions with that LOL

but my all time is 0.58%, but I think if you look at my complete term of having a myspace resource site i've maintained over 1.5% but I've noticed that i can get like 5 clicks and still only make $0.08 which sucks. I had a alien/ufo/paranormal site about year ago and seen clicks that payed between $4-10 each

my CTR is usually .5 - 2% and i have my ads positioned just like sites getting a higher CTR. guess my visitors must be finding what they want.
