Free stock images

There are some great sites where you can download free stock photos from:

http://sxc.hu is really only the free one isnt it? I know istock costs $.

sxc.hu is the one i use.

with istockphoto.com, you need credits to download images. Costs ~$1 USD per credit, but they get cheaper with bulk orders.

I use sxc.hu for most things, especially if I need to distribute the end product. I purchase stuff when necessary from StockExpert and ISP. ISP gives away 1 image a week. Sometimes those are great images.

SXC.hu clearly mentions that you cannot distribute or share the image, in capital letters. I would love to use the images too. But using on a myspace site will mean, that the image is getting distributed.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply i was using them for Myspace. I use them in multimedia applications I develop. I also get permissions from the photographers when I need more rights.

Another place I get images from is Flickr. I message the owner and ask can I use for so and so. Most of the time I get a "Wow! sure" response. Again not or myspace.
