View Full Version : Marketplace "out of order?"

I tried looking for the thread that said it changed. So I just figured I would ask.

Is marketplace sub-categories listed by the thread with the last post first? It was listed as the newest thread first so you couldn't bump a marketplace listing, and it made it very easy to not miss out on sales after being gone a bit. But with the new way I have misplaced 2 sales threads I was looking at (a few 1 year old threads got bumped and confused me) and I feel stupid -lol-

Is there a way to select how you want certain forums viewed?

Thanks for the help
:)

The marketplace was previously listed in order of time of thread creation and previously had just one main category.

Recently, the marketplace was reorganized into a main category along with three subcategories.

Greg and the mods created the subcategories by manually moving threads from the main category into the subcategories. Once a thread has been placed into a subcategory, it no longer appears in the main marketplace category.

The main general category includes:
- threads that sell mixed categories together, such as packs containing both layouts and glitters.
- generators
- scripts
- services
- wanted to buy
- websites for sale
- any other items not listed above and not listed in the 3 subcategories

The main general category is still listed in order of time of thread creation.

The three subcategories Myspace Layouts, Glitters and Graphics, and Advertising, Links & Traffic are listed by latest post. While that also means thread bumping is easy, the moderators have been working hard to enforce rules against non-business related thread bumping.

There are plans to create more subcategories and plans to create a new marketplace format.

Options to change the views on the marketplace are near the bottom left.

Would you prefer to have the 3 subcategories listed in order of thread creation? If so, the mods will pass that on to Greg.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I know about all the new additions and appreciate them. I think the new sub-categories are a big help. But there is no way for me to list the threads by order of thread creation date like you mentioned.

You are right.

I will pass on to Greg that the subcategories should either be listed by order of thread creation or have the option to be displayed in that order.

thank you so much!

I was going crazy thinking I was missing something. Over the weekend a bunch of year old group buys got bumped up to the top of the marketplace and that's when I realized something was off -lol-

Thanks again :)

From what I could tell it was just the Glitters sub category. I've fixed it. Let me know if there's anything else.

What is the difference between the marketplace beta at http://www.myspacepros.com/marketplace/ compare to the one at http://www.myspacepros.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=21

Nope... fab... thanks.

I can go back to my regularly scheduled buying now :)
