Hey guys,

I'm really trying to nut out the main reasons your sites are getting huge traffic compared to the rest.

What was your biggest move (seo or content or advertising etc) that gave you the biggest boost?

Was there one main thing you did that has separated you from the rest?

Do you have sheer content volume compared to the rest? Is it something else in particular?

I'm not looking to steal your secrets, just a point in the direction of a bigger progression.

Thanks guys!

Always appreciated!

Kind regards,
Tim

Alot of people are into the SEO thing i think it's called. Others just mainly buy advertising. I have no idea how people get their sites up to 50K+ per day. It's a miracle if i can get mine to a solid 200 a day lol.

Yes, please share with us your secrets =D

You're new here...You'll find that people don't disclose that info because the last thing anyone needs is more competition in an already very competitive niche.

Generally, you'll have to learn the ropes yourself. Do seo, get traffic, add content and such.

Many of the big players here I noticed are BIG SEO people and have been into SEO for a while and understand what works and what doesn't.

It never hurts to ask! Someone may just be having a great day and throw a pearler in there!

Since I started working on my sites again I've been able to jump down 30,000 in my alexarank every 5 days or so!

I'm just looking for any 'uncommon' tips anyone might have that we couldall benefit from...

Another reason you are not going to see a lot of "hot tips" is that this forum is open to search engines. Posting a hot tip here for memebers is also posting a hot tip here for every person who wants to open up a "quicky mart" myspace site who stumbles upon this forum from google searching for "making a million putting up a cheap myspace site quick". I know I worry about what I post because of that sometimes :P

Doesn't help the community when more of these open.

If there was some sort of closed forum, with a bit of a invite system, where people could share ideas and opinions you might get more chatting about real topics, money ideas, traffic ideas, advertising networks...etc. without fear it would be open to the public.

JMHO.

Hahah, unfortunately, instead of a pearler you may hear what you don't want to hear--that the sites at the top just keep widening the gap due to self-reinforcing authority. Here's an example as it relates to the self-reinforcing authority from the SEO standpoint. Myspace isn't the only player in town; people put graphics on sites that bleed link juice in a normal fashion (ie. no java, lack of nofollow tags) and so the rich get richer because more backlinks are being built to them everyday. It's an endless cycle. You are ranked high on google so more people visit your site and therefore spread your links more, maintaining your dominance in the SERPS. The cliche the rich get richer is on display in full force in this niche (minus the occasional site penalty).

If you desire to become a very prominent site at this stage, you only have 1 alternative. Offer something unique that can't be easily copied ie. you're going to have to spend money.
