Forget what steps you took to create something? Want an easier way to get things done? Then follow this tutorial. Script recording makes things a lot easier for us who love and enjoy to create. PSP8 was used for this tutorial though I am sure you can apply the same or similar steps to other versions ;]

What to do:

To begin recording your steps, simply go to File > Script > Start Recording.

- Work on your graphic, as you normally would.

When you are done with your graphic, in regard to the steps, simply go back to File > Scripts > and select Save Recording.

- A Save window will appear and you will be asked to name your file.
- After naming your script, it will automatically appear in your PSP's script files.

Don't see them or know where to find these scripts? No prob!

- Simply go to View > Toolbars > Script. If you notice something disappeared from your PSP's toolbar, most likely it was the Script toolbar lol Don't worry, just repeat the step previously mentioned and it'll reappear ;]

Using your recorded script:

-Open a new file or open a file to be worked on.

-Work on it as you normally would, then when you are ready to use the script, select your script in the drop-down menu and click the arrow button placed to the right of that drop-down menu.

-The script will begin without you needing to do anything else, but click OK, when needed (some effects/steps will need a manual click of the OK button).

-And that's it.

Happy script recording! :]

*Note* This tutorial was created by me (Karla "Silent Eyez") using PSP8 and should not be reposted or shared anywhere, but by me.

Thanks for posting this. I don't want to sound like a rebel or anything, but I wasn't paying attention in class when they taught us this.

There's also another way to do this and probably the easiest way:
View > Toolbars > Script (if you don't already see it on your toolbar)

Click the record button on the toolbar when you want to record something:

Click the Save button when you're done:

Not sure if there was sarcasm directed at me, but I was just sharing something I felt members that are not aware or know about the script recording feature, can find this useful. As for my little "do not share note", it is something I always add with any tutorial I type up with my own words and wish not to have copied down to the "t".

Anyway, I hope members will find this very useful as it has been very useful to me.

I thought the tutorial was about Photoshop at first. I realized my mistake afterwards, though. xD You can do basically the same thing with Photoshop.
