We am planning on opening the Video Widget to almost all the sites. Before we go on with it, I just wanted to see how many are interested and then make the decision.

Will it match your sites layout?
With the new system, we will allow you to modify the css like the above sites has and you can make it to match your sites layout.

Whats that advantage?
The widget will add your sites link under the video. For example, "Get more videos at yoursite.com". No others links or code will be added, just the embed code and your links code under it!

Can you remove gigya from the widget?
Tons of popular sites use it and its upto you, you can disable gigya widget and have only a text field with the code displayed. So far all widgets use gigya and the post conversion is alot higher.

Are there any requirements for the website?
We wont be as strict as before with the traffic requirement, we will make a form where you will be able to apply. Once accepted then you can modify the widget to match your sites layout plus specify your own link to add under videos.

We supply all the content/videos and manage the widgets so once you have it up and running then that is all!
If your interested please just reply here and based on the responses, we will decide if we want to open it to the public! Also im open to suggestions for any features to add.

This is really a clear and cool product - very strong advertisement for it.

We'd like to cross promote this widget with Snapvine widgets. We are giving MySpace resource sites our Talking Photo and VoicePlayer widgets for free, and they both don't require registration.

PGZ gave me a few new ideas that will help increase your websites pageviews so im going to be working with the widget at end of this week and try to get those features implemented if possible so the actual widget might be delayed a few days!

Yep thats what im working on at the moment, so I will open the signup once everything is final and allow webmasters to singup! It can take up to a week but I will at first only allow few webmasters to try it and test it out. So it will be open once the testing is done, I will pm you if I need more people for testing.

As far as traffic requirements I haven't decided on the exact restriction. You will most likely be accepted as long as your widget gets views. I don't want webmasters to create an account and then put the widget where users rarely view it. So even if you get 1,000 uniques, just as long as you can show that the widget will get views then you'll get accepted. Some stats will be recorded so I can manage all the widgets and I may allow you to see how many pageviews you get plus unique visits to the widget.

To Connections: It will be possible just to show Rap videos but there will be other restrictions involved. I can probably make a seperate page for your site to load but im trying to stay away from that b/c I don't want to have seperate code for every site then it makes it hard to manage. Just talk with me and we can work something out!

Questions Asked: Do we host anything on our website?

Everything is hosted on my server and other websites so it wont even effect your bandwidth or wont even load anything from your server.

Whenever you take any action, it will reload the whole page giving you more pageviews so you can make more money with impression ads. Any link clicked in the widget will load the page again going to its destination. Test it and let me know of any other suggestions. This should be launched sometime this weekend.

The Widget will be offered as In-Frame or Out-of-Frame page loading. In-Frame will load faster as it won't reload the whole page but wont give you as many pageviews as Out-of-Frame Widget will since it will reload the page with every user action.

Important Notice for Old Widget Users:
Old widget page will be reloaded with the new one which will require a widget id to run it on your website so please if your using a url like "http://www.smashbeats.com/widget/" just be advised that you will have to sign up to get the widget.
Also for all the big websites that are currently running the widget don't have to worry but you still have to sign up and we will help with the process if needed.

The new widget is almost finished and we will be running tests for few days and it should be launched by this Wednesday. If you would like to help with testing then please pm me and you must have AIM/YIM. Once the widget is done with testing then we will open it to public.
