Hey. I just recently created my "official" site myspace. However, instead of using a real photo, and stating that i am a guy, ive used a 21 year old, good looking woman. I just thought that it would get much more attention.

Is this a common thing to do? anyone else here do the same thing?

Post away :santa:

Dan.

Dude, I'm totally a female on myspace.

In fact, I've got a bit of a personality disorder. I'm about 28 different females :P

Same.

I've tried male, but the fact remains that women work better.

90% of the "Why are you adding me????" messages come from women.
Seems most men go "Ohhhh.... Hot Chick! Add!". Heck, I probally would too.

girls are way to suspicious when a guy adds them, they ask way to many questions.
yet when girls add guys they instantly are keen for action...you get phone number and a whole bunch of seedy messages sent to you...

I have a regular profile, one as a woman, and one where the picture is an object. The woman is of course doing the best in terms of friends. (Even though my personal profile is the coolest).

I agree, I just started with the women profiles and I have a 90% success rate when adding friends!!!

I was also wondering, when you first start with a new "female" profile is it wise to answer the emails that you get? So you seem more real, or just keep adding friends and commenting without answering any dumb messages.
