You're better of using adversal and RMX. It's extremely hard to get into Valueclick and I heard they're not accepting Myspace sites anymore.

hmm it says
Q: What is the minimum traffic level to be a part of the network?
A: 3,000 impressions per month. See the Publisher Agreement for complete terms and conditions.
That is small! Are you sure its hard to get into?
I'm already in adversal although I pulled it becuase they weren't reporting right I think after 3 days with 900-1000 uniques a day and several thousand page load I got 16 pop-unders for 2 cents. 2 cents is not bad though for 16 pops. but I should least had more the 16 pops after 3 days with that many uniques.

depends what kind of sites you have as well and a main thing is CONTENT on them they are very picky about the content, value click denied me once for some petty reason.
I never really tried again, might call them soon and see why I have not been accepted I heard you can get in that way ?

I'm not sure how hard it is to get into valueclick but I've had an account with them for years. My first sites were not myspace related - although they are somewhat geared towards free graphics. I added my myspace sites as aliases to my non myspace site. The strangest thing is that they declined me for adding my myspace sites as "new sites". I emailed them and they suggested I add them as aliases - and it's been just fine. Who knows how they set these rules.

What is "aliases" in ValueClick?

What is "aliases" in ValueClick?
When you have sites with unrelated content - you use new sites
When you have sites with related content - you use an alias
It's just a way to add another site to your account, but to combine the reporting for all of your aliases together. The down side is that you can't tell how much more your alias is earning

I got accepted when I was only getting around 100 uniques a day. I think it just depends on your content and whether your site adheres to their TOS.

My site is clean, no nasty stuff, it also has great content.
Google accepted me immediately, neverblue ads immediately also,
valueclick? No response for over a month now after being sent 3 sign up emails.

I got accepted in under 24 hours, If your site complies with their standards then you'll have no problem being accepted. It's completely their choice still though even if your site does comply with any rules and standards they have set so that's where the stick might fall short for some site owners. I guess what I mean is, there's no sure way to tell what exact they're looking for since it's differed with websites that have been accepted :)

I've tried a month ago and still no response. Should I try calling them?

Calling is the biggest step to getting in - don't be anti-social...
If you call and put them on the spot - they most likely aren't going to say no...unless you have porno or somethin on your site ya know?

I think that is the best advice and always the better thing to do. I thought about doing that. I think I will try that after I stay with neverblue ads for awhile and see if I am doing good with the revenue from them.

Ya, and if you run a myspace site then you should get in because so many other myspace sites are in.

i have had 6 sites accepted into VC all in 24 - 72 hours. make sure your site has a good design, no content with swearing or girls wearing bikinis in provocative poses, and add a privacy policy to your site. shouldnt have any problems getting in

I don't think calling will automatically get you in. You probably need to say the right things if they ask you questions. Like when YPN called me they asked me where most of my traffic is from, I said it's mostly from the US because I knew they wanted to hear that. Just don't say anything stupid and you'll probably get in.

What do you recommend that a webmaster says to them when you call?

I agree I also have never had any issues with VC, a couple of times I needed to request a site again a week later but that was a long time ago.

They rejected me and wouldn't reply to my emails, so I applied again, this time putting a "/" at the end of my url so it wouldn't say the url has already been used or whatever, and I got accepted a few hours later :/ :P
