Hey was wondering if anyone knew who runs this site: www.myspacecustomz.net .

Reason I ask is because they stole some layouts from me... even with my watermark on them they still posted them on there site and tagged them....

So if anyone knows who this site belongs to please post it or contact me.

Thanks.

That's BS (User Submitted).

Doesn't take a genius to figure out that a regular user wouldn't be able to modify *.gif file to add their own tag while keeping the animation intact, as well as tag the BGs and contact tables.

So either I am going to find out who runs the site and ask them to please remove my graphics or e-mail GoDaddy about the stolen content and see if they would be willing to release contact information.

Oh it was tagged over? Damn

Shoot, I wouldn't play around anymore, just go to the host. These people stealing content just won't give up. Go right to the host for now on...Screw giving them a chance....

Even if it's user submitted the owner takes the responsibility of the content blah blah blah. It's the reason myspace says "Do NOT UPLOAD COPYWRITTEN IMAGES" in your pictures section. That little "user submitted" excuse is no longer acceptable in my book. BACK ON TOPIC.

I googled the domain and found MSP Username: "PalmOS"

Look good enough?

Username on Digitalpoint: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=32851

He's not private, he's very open about the sites he owns,
I think this problem will get resolved gently.

Well I'm just saying that I don't think he's gonna have trouble getting information about the owner since the owner has his site up for evaluation and showcasing on msp and dp.

Well I am writing him a message via DP.

I'm pretty sure that ALL of his layouts are stolen content and he just retagged them.

I felt like calling Karma, but it is stuff like this that is bringing the entire niche down. I'm going through the same crap with a few other sites. Ask them to remove it, if they don't go for the throat.

since some of you bums in here bad mouthing people on **** you dont even have a clue about...maybe you should use your professional minds and read below. check it for grammar to while you're at because you're so smart and grammar matters on a forum full of 10 year olds

there are 3 people together who "run" the site:

-buck (from DP) and I are not the same person
buck = in charge of designing the website and making sure its running
me = in charge of purchasing content or designing content to give to buck (none of which i have ever stolen or sold)
another person = who isnt registered at either forum also provides layouts (of who is paid to do so)

my assumption would be that if there is "stolen" content its coming from the person we are paying to give us content, obviously he wants to send a lot of **** or he aint getting paid.

before everyone here jumps to their conclusions like they are ****ing investigators and run **** online...thinking someone that links to a site in their sig is the owner, operator and everything that is involved in a website like you are PI's

you all can just take a bit of a chill, jfont needs to msg buck on DP and figure it out , buck nor i are shady figures, the other dude might be cause he has money motivations.

buck is the only one who can take care of the issue, permitting there is one..

way to go geg2, we have discovered you are not color blind and can read the word Online, maybe you deserve rep points...isn't that how a forum works anymore, you make an obvious statement and your rep goes up?

Andrew2

Oh that's professional. "Let's have a fit because our site has stolen content on it."

im 30 thank you very much. the op doesn't seem too bad, initially it looks like they were trying to figure it out. everything afterwards are opinions and vents about how it just happens so often.

i mean honestly, i understand where you're coming from, but wow....your post is like "hi, im chiming in and im just gong to be a jerk straight out of the box"

minnseoelite
December 4th, 2007, 11:02 PM
sounds like everyone needs to chill, i agree people that do not have their content up on the site in question or are providing a relavent answer to the OP's question have no reason to be posting in this thread. if you want your ten seconds of fame make a vid and throw it up on myspace.

Well then either you give up the name of the person selling the "borrowed" content or I will report the website as KNOWINGLY using stolen content. It just seems weird how instead of trying to resolve the situation in a respectable manner you just sound off like we are the ones in the wrong. I mean either you do not look at any of the layouts you have on your website (BECAUSE THE STOLEN ones that belong to myself have a nice watermark that says "Sample - J Fontestad").

So please do us both a favor and if you care about your website, get in touch with your "partner" and let him know about the situation.

If youre not the same person, how come you made a thread on free wallpapers over here like the ones he's got over there? :/ Just take the layouts down dude..

Seems to be your MO :p

How's this for interesting...

Someone isn't telling the truth here.....

buck at DP:

well first off, i am not in charge of content on the site, and no its not all stolen, because my roomate makes it.

what layouts are you claiming are yours and i will look into it

The plot thickens...

haha i love it when people get caught in lies. obviously one of the two men is responsible for content. :)

jfontestad
December 5th, 2007, 08:29 AM
Now that the lie came out for itself, I'm wondering if I should just contact their host or if I should just ask them to remove my content (only thing wrong with that is that I am sure that they have stolen content from other people as well).

RKGraphics
December 5th, 2007, 08:33 AM
hey you know, do what you want. im so sick of these sites just taking content and other people just standing by watching it happen. this is what i see all the time "you're an idiot if you didn't expect this all to happen, there's nothing you can do about it....etc. etc. etc" so if you're one of the few that WILL do something about it, go for it. chances are they have lots more stolen content.

Jen
December 5th, 2007, 08:35 AM
Thats why I suggested go directly to the host.......

Screw playing around with these stealers........

All your gonna get is excuses every single time!

minnseoelite
December 5th, 2007, 09:07 AM
ask the owner to remove or pay for the content. if they refuse don't waist time fighting with them just report it to their host and adsense and forward them all emails you have of your conversations
