Great, so I finished working on my myspace resource site, I uploaded it and all... but there was a little something I overlooked when choosing the domain.

I've read MySpace has been taking down domains with "myspace" in them, and I think that since I opened it no long ago, now is the time to change the domain name if I will be doing it...

So... do you think I should choose another domain name? is it worth the risk, or I shouldn't worry much about it.

Nah, stick with it - you'll be okay!

I was also thinking of changing my domain but I do not think that I will be able to change the licenses to the generators I've purchased. :-(

I've had mines for well over a year now.

I think you'll be fine! I would just keep weekly backups of your site and stuff if you're that worried about it. :P

you should be fine as long as you're not spamming. do a quick search and you will see there are still lots of sites out there with the term Myspace in the domain name, some of the larger resource sites have myspace in the domain if they are still up and getting 60k visitors a day i doubt myspace will bother with a new site.

Its just disrespectful, but you can get away with it I think, unless myspace really persists. Which they prolly wont

Thanks for the replies.

I know they won't bother with a small site, but, as many of you, I do plan on keep it growing as much as I can. It won't probably be one of the top ones, but still I wouldn't like them to get the domain after all the hard work.

I thought they would just contact ICANN and take the domain if you don't cooperate.

IANAL, but AFAIK they are certainly in the right to contact ICANN, and if they do they will almost certainly win the domain name through the resolution process.

This having been said, I don't think News Corp. has really done anything like this to-date (at least with *resource* websites). One example would be myspacesupport.com. I would say that nothing will likely come of it.

its better leave my space in your domain name but when you have myspace in your domain name it will gives you more seo support
