how do you make a layout in photoshop. and when you sell them do you need to give the buyer the html codes or css stuff with it.

Yes, you do need to provide the CSS and images.

To make a layout in photoshop, make a background and a contact table. A network banner is also recommended. To make the CSS, I suggest taking a layout that looks nice already and playing with that to figure out what everything does. Then taylor that to your specific layout.

I would definitely suggest using a Layout Generator (seeing as you have had no prior experience from what I can tell). Create a background image, a contact table, network banner, etc and use a generator to make all work:] Then start messing with the individual codes and tweak to your interests=] Heres my Layout Generator from my site (http://www.creative-illusions.net/content/visitor/generators/layout-editor/), feel free to use it=]

Eh, when people ask how to make layouts, like THAT, theyre just really really new and have no idea what theyre doing. Layout gens are helpful yuh

Yea, it takes so much time to explain everything to people who might not even understand the terms we're using D;
Its crazy how many messages I get (as I bet all of us do) about asking for help with making layouts, and how to edit this, that, and the other.

I have a crappy layout generator too. It's not as clean-cut as dylan's, but you can modify more things individually. It's ourspacer[dot]com . You're welcome to use it as you want too.

^ hah I don't think it matters on which previewer people have, they all seem to do the same thing, just some more advanced than other (which isn't so good for someone who might not know what different parts of myspace layout are.....) rofl

do it like *vi*lers... go to a psd pre cut site.. take some images, plop them on a striped background. use a scatter brush to make some paint splatters and viola! drag and drop to a network banner and contact table... ur done!
