I start year 12 next term and I have to decide which subject I'm gonna drop and changing T.A.F.E courses.
So at the moment I'm doing:
-English
-Maths
-Society and Culture
-Business Studies
-Information Technology
-Multimedia
-Digitial Imaging TAFE course
I REALLY want to drop maths coz I HATE it, it's so boring and I dread going and it's my worst
However....I have to have a certain number of what they call 'board developed' courses to be eligiable for a UAI (university admissions index) and if I drop maths I won't have enough board developed courses and can't get a UAI.
I did want a UAI as I was thinkng of going to Uni but I'm not sure. I still get my Higher School Certificate and everything though.
In Digital Imaging we're doing mainly video editing next year and I wanna do more like graphic design kinda stuff so I was thinking of changing courses but they only have a multimedia one and I'm already doing that subject at at school.
So basically my options are:
-Stick with maths to get my UAI even though I hate the subject.
-Drop maths and keep doing digital imaging next year
-Drop maths and change to multimedia course
-Drop maths AND my TAFE course and just focus on my work at school and getting my Higher School Certificate and then do a diploma course in Graphic Design or something else after I've finished school to get the qualification to go to UNI if i want.
So yeah I'm really confused and I have to make this decision before Friday....
I know I wanna have a career in multimedia/graphic/web design/computers ect. but I don't know what exactly I'm not really sure of what careers there are out there and I know a lot of you are working in this industry so was wondering if anyone had any ideas or jobs in this field that sound good lol.
I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum to post in, but I just wanted to see if anyone could help in any way.
