Contest type: Earn the most points!

How points are earned during this time frame:
--------------------------------------------------------------------- For each unique upload that we publish 3 points
- For each 5 star surfer rating per upload 3 points
- For each 4 star surfer rating per upload 2 points
- For each unique view on each upload 1 point

Note: To make it fair to everyone points are only awarded to content that is uploaded during this time frame, content uploaded before will not be included in this contest.

Everyone is welcome, as long as your uploads belong to you. You do not need a site or an adsense account, although both will obviously make you more money!

Wouldn't this be easy to cheat as people can just direct their site traffic to one of their layouts on modmyprofile?

Just checking seeing as with some previous competitions similar to this, people were just redirecting their whole website so their layouts were getting thousands of uniques and were automatically boosted to the top...I thought it was a bit unfair haha :)

I'll probably get into this, great system you have there.

i hear yah, thats one of the reasons why we gave views the lowest # of points earned per. redirecting a site that gets thousands of visitors a day would not only hurt that site on return visitors but also put a fine dent in it's earnings, which is a hefty gamble just for pocketing $750.

Can you please show us stats as to whose in the lead, etc? You had told me you would tell us half way through the contest, and close to the end of the contest - and I havn't seen anything yet :-/ Just trying to figure out if it's worth trying or not.

lol. I started the day the contest started. I'm just curious if I should continue to push it or not.

I am Tonya.. I don't think you should continue on the contest, but you should continue on uploading, it is too late to start uploading for the contest since you'll need to get tons of views to top what I have, in less than 2 days. ;)

Man, this was a pretty jacked up contest. I can't even get the owner to reply to any of my questions regarding his contest, yet he's answering to everyone else. Oh well, sh*t happens.

Also, wasn't this suppose to go by POINTS? So that people who uploaded/etc before the contest started, wasn't counted? I don't see the point system :-/;

On another note, whoever myspacecentral.net (i think thats it?) - You uploaded some awesome layouts :)

I don't see what the big deal is. He posted the rules clearly in the beginning.

Scotty is always around if you tried contacting him through his website or his other contact info he would have replied to you. He's been busy the last day or two so I don't think he's been online much.

You could get an idea of who is uploading just by looking at his site. When someone uploads it says how many uploads they have. If you wanted to keep track of that you could have just by looking at the site as we have.

Wow I can't believe I actually won this! I'm proud of myself, I never thought I'd win I'd doubt myself and keep my hopes down. Thinking that if I got my hopes up too high, they'd fall back down. I spent hours on the computer uploading things (sometimes hundreds of items at once, haha), the first couple of weeks on my really slow computer. Then the last weeks of the contest my mom's computer which HELPED out A LOT! If it wasn't for that computer I'd never have won, I should go kiss it all over. :P
Even if I didn't win the contest, I made a nice profit off of the profit sharing deal there. The highest I made alone off MMP in one day (with my uploads), was $27.16. So all the money I made off AdSense and the money I won I made a nice chunkk of cash, lol. And no I did not forget about the charity, of course. I will be donating the $250 to National Children's Cancer Society.
The first thing I'll be getting with the money will be a new computer to replace this vintage one, duh! LOL
